Dec 31 - Jan 5 (37 weeks)

37 weeks - long as swiss chard

Monday - 37 weeks today. 2 weeks, I can do this. Weight this am - 174.6, still 10 lbs less than last pregnancy with Daniel (didn't record my weight with Owen cause I was ashamed to be in the 190s). I want to crawl into a hole again. I'm not sure if I'm up for socializing at the neighborhood New Years party tonight, and I usually love going up there. This pregnancy has turned me into a hermit. 1:30 - shoveled the driveway for 30 min. 2:00 pm - walk on treadmill, went 2.22 miles in 40 minutes.
Tuesday - 2 Wonderful stretches around noon. 12 minutes of planks at 11pm (with about 10 min pause in between each 4 min set)
Wednesday - I woke up in a bad mood, still hating being pregnant and not sleeping well, sick of sleeping on my left side but any other position makes my arms go numb. I'm sick of dry mouth, which leads to the thick mucus that I have to spit out constantly, which I am also sick of. I don't want to exercise, but I can make myself walk, so did treadmill again. After 45 minute of warming up (average 3.2 pace), I finally did jog a little, 4.7 pace during Tyson vs. Douglas. Ugh. The treadmill reset though so I don't know for sure how far I went, but it was a little under an hour so I think it was around 3 miles. Taking carpool now, back to reality. I'm glad reality makes me get this over with early. Going to try not to lay in bed all day.
Thursday - I didn't wake up hating life, so that's good. 7:00 - 2 Wonderful warrior stretches. Then did upper body BFL style workout (yay I did some resistance this week!) - did upper body. The numbers below are the weight. Reps for each are 12, 10, 8, 6, 12, then 12 of a different exercise for same group of muscles.
  • 1) Shoulders standing press with two dumbbells: 8, 10, 15, 20, 15, upward rows 15
  • 2) Chest - all on knees - 12 fast, 10 slow, 8 slow with elbows tucked (tried to tuck them) and 6 diamond on knees, 12 slow with elbows tucked, laying chest press with two 20 lb.
  • 3) Tricep extensions, one dumbbell: 20, 25, 30, 30 slow, 30, chair dips with bent knees
  • 4) Bicep curls - two dumbbells: 10, 12, 15, 20, 15, hammer curls 15
  • 5) Back - rows with 2 dumbbells - 15, 20, 25, 30, 25, back flys with two 10 lb.
Finished at 8:07, time to get little girls off to school
Friday - 6:30 am - 2 Wonderful warrior stretches, wake up kids, then treadmill - 1.8 miles in 34 min, bathroom break and check on kids, finished with 1.3 miles in 20 minutes - total 3.1 miles in 54 min, not bad. about .5 miles of jogging.
Saturday - 11pm: 10 min of flows, 10 min of stretching, two 60 sec center planks, goodnight

Dec 24 - 29 (36 weeks)

36 weeks - canary melon
Monday - Christmas Eve. Up at 7:45 am, not in a good mood (still mad at my snarky teen from last night plus just overall irritation with everyone and everything #sickofpregnancy) 3 miles in 49:50, jogged the last 4 min pretty fast to get 3 miles in under 50 minutes. Weight - 174.8, still pretty good, day by day, control the controllables
Tuesday - Merry Christmas, tired. I was awake from 2:30-3:40 am setting up gifts, then got woken up at 4:30 by Mel's alarm, then at 5:30-6:15 by Owen. Only did 2 Wonderful warrior stretches today
Wednesday - shoveled the driveway for an hour (stupid snow blower won't work! We just got it last year, lame...) then 1 miles on treadmill in 15:30, jogged a bit during Run for Cover, then 2 wonderful pigeon stretches. I have a dr. appointment this morning at 9:45 or I would have done 3 miles (but took too long to do driveway) will try to maybe do more cardio later. 173.0 this morning
Thursday - Temple this morning. I started to do walking lunges around the house as I cleaned, only got to 100 cause I really didn't want to do them. But I can force myself to walk. So at 12:30 pm I started on the treadmill. Ended up doing 3 miles in 46:50, and even did quite a bit of jogging thanks to good songs, fastest was 5.5 pace. Going to try to improve my time each time I do 3 miles. 2 Wonderful pigeon stretches
Friday - lots of housework, at 10 pm 2 Wonderful warrior stretches, Owen did it with me, it was cute.
Saturday - 8 am, up and did 3 miles in 54 minutes. I jogged for one song but that was it, my tummy felt super tight this morning.

36 weeks with Owen in 2015 - 183.6
36 weeks with Daniel in 2016 - 178.4

Dec 17 - 22 (35 weeks)

35 weeks - honeydew
Monday - Up at 4 am, tried to sleep, finally at 5 am I got up, 60 minute walk, done at 6, 3.24 miles. 2 Wonderful warrior stretches. Weight 173.0
Tuesday - Daniel woke me up at 4:30. At 5:00 I gave up, now he's watching Bugs Life here in the basement and I'm going to exercise, but I have a VERY bad attitude right now. Ugh.

7:00. I just finished this workout - did a total of 10 rounds. I first did three rounds of:
  • 5x of jump lunge right, jump lunge left, jump squat = 1
  • 5x of left shoulder press, right shoulder press, both shoulders press, shoulder side raise = 1(I used 2/15 for the first 3 rounds
  • 15x of lower than parallel squats with 1/30 lb
  • 3x of 3 wide bicep curls, 3 standard curls, 3 hammer curls = 1
Then 4 rounds of just the jump lunges and lower than parallel squats (exercises #1 and #3), and then 3 more rounds of all 4 exercises but with 2/12 lbs, that was a lot more doable for my upper body. So total of 10 rounds on my legs, and when I did 10 rounds of that to my legs in June 15th I was so sore it killed me. So I did it again today, We'll see how my legs are tomorrow, I think I've got more strength than I did then, so I'm hoping I won't be sore.
9pm - I'm feeling it... I didn't stretch this morning! Going to stretch now and hope it doesn't get any worse by morning 😬
Wednesday - I'm definitely sore, but I can walk without wincing, phew! I was a little worried for myself thinking back to June 15th (see yesterday's log). The boys slept through the night, hallelujah. At 6:15 did 2 miles on treadmill in 34 minutes, then carpool, then back to finish it of, did 1.14 more miles in 20 minutes, then Wonderful pigeon stretches. And I am eating so awesome since watching Dr. Gregers Daily Dozen and getting his free Daily Dozen app, go me!
Maintaining my weight, 173.6 upon rising, then drank 12 oz of water, then exercise and bathroom, 172. 0 when I was done with my 3 miles.
Thursday - Didn't exercise this morning. I just want to crawl into a hole. Heaven help me, 25 more days, I can do this! (right?) I want to endure well, but I'm just trying to endure. 9 pm, going to make myself do a workout now even though I just want to hide and wake up in 3 weeks.... And my stupid cd player isn't working. Bringing up youtube....
  • 100 bicep during The Man - 25 reps of curls with 2/12, 25 hammer curls with 2/15, 25 reg curls 2/12, 25 reps swing hammer curls 2/15
  • 100 shoulder raises/swings - side raises 25 reps 2/5, 25 reps of front 2/8, front raise swings 2/10, 25 upward rows 2/12 during Rut song
  • chest holds for 7 counts with fly on count 8 repeated through Life to Come song - while lying on bench 2/8, was able to get a good stretch on the holds on the bench
  • Run for Cover - 100 tricep extentions: 25 reps with 2/8, 25x 1/20, 25x 1/30, 25x 1/25
Didn't do back, Will do that tomorrow or Friday. Did 2 wonderful warrior stretches
Friday - 3 mile walk outside from 7 until 8. Samsung Health app said 3.22 miles in 1 hour 4 min. During my walk and in the spirit of the last trimester, I listened to an April 1990 talk by Elder Maxwell three times - "Endure It Well." Then did 2 Wonderful pigeon stretches.
Saturday - 2 Wonderful warrior stretches, two 1 minute center planks on hands

35 weeks with Owen in 2015 - weight 186
35 weeks with Daniel in 2015 - weight 178

Dec 10 - 15 (34 weeks)

34 weeks - cantaloupe
Monday - 2 Wonderful warrior flows in the morning. 1:30 pm walk on treadmill- 2.5 miles in 46:40. Listened to TED talks as I walked - Pat McAuley, Dr. Greger (really liked that one), and then started this one by Megan Kimble. That last one made me start to think of setting some serious New Year's Goals. I'm not going to worry about organic or buying local yet, but I do think I could be ready to be 100% plant based after being pretty much plant based this past year, so a year to warm up to it, am I ready to be hard core like Hyrum? maybe.
Tuesday - 2 Wonderful warrior flows in the morning. 1:30pm - 60 reps each, doing 30 reps at lighter weight, 6 heavier, then 24 back at a lighter weight, and after 2nd group I decided to do 1 min center plank on hands after each muscle group:
  - side raises - 5 lbs for first 30, then 6 with 8 lbs, then 24 with 5 lbs.
  - bicep curls - 2/10 lbs, 2/15 lbs, 2/12 lbs
    - center plank 1 min on hands
  - seated triceps extensions - 30x 1/20 lbs, 6x 1/30, 24x 1/25
    - center plank 1 min on hands
  - chest - flys on swiss ball 30x 2/12, 6x 2/15, 24x 2/12
    - center plank 1 min on hands (ooh, I was shaking during that one!)
    - another center plank 1 min on hands (shaky during last 30 seconds again)
  - back - back flys, on floor with pillow (so kinda just pulses, not so much flys) 30x 2/5, 6x 2/8lbs, 24x 2/5lbs
    - center plank 1 min on hands (shaky during last whole 60 seconds)
Yay I'm done!
Wednesday - At 6:15 did 2 Wonderful Pigeon stretches, then a treadmill walk - 2.6 miles in 48  minutes according to treadmill, 2.41 miles according to phone. Yay, I did it in the morning. My bar is really low right now, just put shoes on, get on treadmill, and walk. Was a 2.9 pace most of the time. Listened to a few plant based videos and finished off with Dude Perfect Dizzy Sports Battle, that was funny.
Thursday - 2 Wonderful Pigeon flows this morning. 4 pm now, I want to do lower body, was going to do my Ioja leg workout, but I looked back and saw that I did do it last week on Monday, but didn't do my 400 lunges last week, so... 400 lunges it is. I guess I'm a little relieved. I'll push through it hard though, I'm going to time myself to keep it going quick during the rep, but taking a breather in between, I need to do fifty reps 8 times, ready go -
  1. First 50 - 2:31
  2. 2:06 ouch
  3. 1:55
  4. 2:06 Nice to know if I just hurry it's only 2 min of pain.
  5. 1:42 - did it to Run for Cover! then stretch until next song...
  6. 1:48 Tyson vs. Douglas, just two more times
  7. 1:53 I Can Change
  8. 1:37! Untangled Love, I didn't pause to walk during that last set
K, my first 4 "breathers" were like 10 min long. But I pushed through the last 4 sets. Now I'm done, yay 4:52 pm, time to go make dinner.
Friday - 3 miles this morning on treadmill, some jogging but mostly walking, I wasn't sure if the distance thing would reset on it's own, so I kept track of things along the way -
  - 1 mile in 19 min, did 5.0 mile jog pace during "When you Were Young"
  - 1.5 miles done at 25 min
  - 4.6 mile pace during "Uncle Johnny"
  - 2 miles done in 33:33
  - 40 min - 2.4 miles done
  - 4.5 mile pace during Mr. Brightside
  - 3 miles done in 49:20
Then 2 Wonderful pigeon stretches. Weight 173.2
Saturday - 2 Wonderful warrior stretches at 4pm, then this upper body 400 - 5 rounds of 20 reps each. Did 2 rounds at 5, then went on a date, back and finished 3 more rounds at midnight.
  - curl and press 2/15 (round 5 they were more like swings than curls)
  - seated triceps extensions 1/30
  - push ups on knees
  - back rows 2/20
Done at 12:13 am. Hated the curl and press the most, followed by the push ups. Goodnight.

Dec 3 - 8 (33 weeks)

33 weeks - pineapple
Monday - Morning workout - I avoided it last week, but made myself face it today - my tough lower body workout... I did one round, then took Wes to school (30 min pause) then back for 5 more rounds of the following:
  • 5x of jump lunge right, jump lunge left, jump squat = 1
  • 100 calf raise pulses holding two 30 lb dumbbells
  • 20 deadlifts with 2/30 lbs
  • 15x of lower than parallel squats with 1/30 lb
  • 1 min center plank on hands
I can still do jump lunges, go me. 172.0 weight this morning. 33 weeks! "Just" 6 more!! My focus on veggies faded the past few days, going to try for 10 a day again this week.
Tuesday - 10 min of stretching first thing this morning in my closet. then treadmill walk at 7 am - 2 miles in 36.30 minutes, even did 4 min of jogging at the end at 5mph pace, trying to hurry and get to 2 miles.
Wednesday - Did some of Holly's stretches - Joi flow, 5 min flow, and gentle flow. Then carpool and the morning rush. 9:00 am did Holly's Dec 2018 Descending Ladder workout in the basement while Owen and Daniel played (this one was pretty intense and I was hating it)
Buy In: Jump Rope 100x
Descending Ladder 12-10-8-6-4-2
  - Box Squat, left leg Lunge, Box Squat, Right leg lunge x12 (or 10, 8, etc through 2)
  - Hand plank, downward dog, elbow plank, belly blaster x12 (or 10, 8, etc through 2)
Cash Out: Jump Rope 100x
4 min Core Sizzler: Reaching Warrior Alt sides & Hovering Plank (Hand plank with bent knees off ground)
Cooldown
Thursday - treadmill walk/jog, 2 miles in 29:45, jogged during Run for Cover and 2 repeats of Tyson vs. Douglas. Then the stereo quit on me, harder to do it from the music via my phone (headphones don't work, so just coming from the tiny speaker) so we'll call it good. I was going to try and do 3 miles, cause I did 3 miles of cardio almost each time during Daniel's pregnancy. Maybe on Saturday.
Friday - Did Holly's December Workout B - Holiday Hundreds. I didn't do the core sizzler though cause both of the exercises were crunch moves. She also finished it off with 16 burpees but I can't do those either, so I did 100 side raises with 2/5 lb dumbbells. Workout was:
  Four Rounds of:
1 – Inchworm 14x (she did one leg 7 reps each side, but I couldn't do it preg)
2 – Curtsey Lunge & Pulse 14x alternate
3 – Kickstand Bent Over T 7x left leg kicked out, 7x right leg kickstand
Saturday - I'm not in a good mood. I wasn't yesterday, I'm not this morning. I just don't care about anything, I wish I could hibernate for the next 5 weeks until this pregnancy was over. sigh. Might also be winter blues (gray sky and inversion in the valley). So I didn't want to get on the treadmill. Went outside for a walk, 45 minutes nice and easy pace, 2.32 miles. Then did Holly's cooldown from yesterday's workout. Listened/watched this video on my walk, good stuff

Nov 26 - Dec 1 (32 weeks)

32 weeks - napa cabbage
Monday - I woke up at 5:30. I'm glad my body and mind are ready to be back in the school morning routine after a few lazy days of struggling. First I did 10 min of 2 Wonderful stretches, then went for a walk outside (25 degrees) 2.67 miles in 47 minutes. Yesterday morning weight was 169.8
Tuesday - Daniel saw me getting up at 5:45 am, and he was ready to play, so that shot my morning workout. He went down for what I'm sure will be his first nap at 7:30. Then it was time to wake up the elementary girls. I started to do cleaning lunges while they were still here, 9:15 now and I've been picking up the mess as I do walking lunges around the house, I count 50 at a time, and just finished 400. Owen and Daniel are both still asleep. I'm going to go stretch now.
Wednesday - Went to bed last night at 9, woke up at 5. Went for a walk outside from 5:20-5:45, then inside for 10 min stretching (2 wonderful flows) one 1min center plank (hate those) then did this workout of Holly's (Nov 2018 workout B)
Warm Up:
  - toy soldiers 10x
  - forward fold and reach 3x
  - hip openers 5x
  - inchworm 3x
Workout - 20 seconds on, 10 sec switch/break
4x - Prisoner Narrow Squat (I had to do wide) & Hot Ts
 4x - Reaching Bridge & Dead Bug
2x - Prisoner Wide Squat / Hot Ts / Reaching Bridge / Dead Bug
4 min Sizzler - 20 sec on, 10 sec switch, alt sides/legs
  - sprint z-rows and windmills. Weight 171.8
Thursday - Got ready for a walk outside at 6, but I could hardly make it down the sidewalk because it was so icy. It rained a lot last night, then froze. So I walked for two houses and then decided the treadmill would be better. 6:10 - 20 min on treadmill - 1.11 miles, then 10 min of Wonderful flows, then upper body holds laying on floor for straight arm holds (atleast tried to) one for each song -
  Man: biceps 2/5
  Rut: triceps 2/5
Ok, it is not good for my pregnant body to try to lay flat on the floor... going to change things here -
Life to Come: chest - 60 childs pose push ups on knees
Run for Cover: shoulders: side and front raises 2/5 (30 each, then some arm circles)
Tyson: back - on tummy with pillow trying to lift 2/5
Weight 170.2
Friday - treadmill walk, the counter on the treadmill automatically reset twice while I was walking and I lost my time and distance, but I think I walked 34 minutes based on a talk I listened to while I walked, and the last counter read .80 miles in 14 min, so that average would give me 1.94 miles in 34 minutes, (3850 steps) then 2 Wonderful Flows (10 min) then 15 min on the mat stretching my legs while I listened to Love Story/Viva la Vida - going back and revisiting some oldies but goodies
Saturday - Shoveled snow, ran errands, at 11:30pm I did 12 min of planks in my closet and 10 min of stretching

Nov 19 - 24 (31 weeks)

31 weeks - long as a leek
Monday - 31 weeks today, just 8 more! Two wonderful stretches, then 8 in of planks, then took Wes to school, back for 4 more minutes, going to go on a walk tonight. Eating 10 fruits and vegetables today - I need to focus on making sure I get 10 in, otherwise I fill my tummy with bread. Right now it's noon and I've had 2 servings of bananas, 1 raspberries, 1 broccoli, 1 lettuce, 1 corn, 1/2 banana, 1/2 strawberry. Total = 7. 10:15 pm - 15 min treadmill walk .78 miles according to my phone which I don't think records on the treadmill very accurately, but the treadmill counter kept resetting on it's own, annoying, so we'll just have to deal with that. Pause for family prayer and scripture. 10:55 - 11:11 - 1 mile in 15:30 (treadmill recording) Either way - it was 30 min. Now it's 11:12 pm, I'm heading to bed. And weight first thing this morning was 173.0
Tuesday - At 6:40 am left for a walk outside, jogged just a little bit, for one or two minutes. Went 2.32 miles in 40 minutes, then 2 wonderful stretches. I should do upper body today, but might save it for tomorrow or Thurs when I have access to the gym at Park City. Or might do it later today...
Wednesday - I'm predicting it will be a busy weekend with everyone home, so I decided to go to the temple this morning instead of trying for Friday. Weight 170.0 this morning. I'm doing good at eating more veggies. It's been a good day, now it's late, 11:25 pm and I finally did some movement - doing upperbody cause I got a TDAP in my arm today at my dr. appointment, hoping moving the muscle will help it to not be sore tomorrow...
  • 100 bicep during The Man - 25 reps of curls with 2/12, 25 hammer curls with 2/15, 25 reg curls 2/12, 25 reps swing hammer curls 2/15

Done at 12:38 am, goodnight. Gotta get up early and make some Vegan food for Hyrum and I for our family dinner tomorrow with Corey's family
Thursday - Happy Thanksgiving.
I woke up this morning and made food, then spent most of the day up in Park City. I came home at 5. Finally started my workout at 7:45 pm. 2 Wonderful flows, then did:
8 rounds of:
  - 3 min treadmill walk
  - 50 walking lunges in the basement.
Total time 24 min on treadmill - about 1.28 miles. Total 400 lunges. Done at 8:40 pm
Friday - 11:15 pm - did Holly's November Workout A (honestly this felt a little too easy to do. I have a slight shimmer sweat, but it all kinda felt like a warm up, not a real push myself until I'm dying workout. If this is the only kinda stuff Holly does to keep trim, hooray, I'd be happy, easy peasy. Maybe if I eat right, all I'd need is a workout like this plus a 20 min morning walk and 5 min feel good flows? Piece of cake! I'm getting my plan of attack to get my body back ready for after baby comes...)
Anyway - here was the workout -
Warm Up:
  - toy soldiers 10x
  - forward fold and reach 3x
  - hip openers 5x

Saturday - I didn't get up early this morning, thus I haven't gotten in my workout until now. It is now it's 11 pm and I get to do my dreaded workout. But I've been doing planks all week, so instead of doing the 1 min center plank on my hands (and because I totally hate them), I'm going to do a 30 min hang on the pull up bar instead (to start to toughen up my hands - I need weeks of prep work to build up to pull ups again after baby is born) So - doing 6 rounds of the following:
  • 5x jump lunge left, jump lunge right, jump squat = 1
  • 100x calf raise pulses 2/30
  • 20x Romanian Deadlift 2/30
  • 15x lower than parallel squats 1/30
  • 30 sec hang on pull up bar
I didn't time myself cause my phone is upstairs. On the last round I did a center plank on hands instead of the hang, because my hands were wasted, I was hardly able to hold the dumbbells on the deadlifts! I was putting kids to bed and changed diapers in between sets. Finished at 11:51, we all stayed up too late tonight! Goodnight

Saturday - It's been a long day. Up at 5:10 to get to temple, home from that at 8:15, then took Wes to orchestra, ran to Costco while I waited (and walmart and dollar tree) home from that, helped kids do chores, short nap, took kids to Park City at 3 to swim, home from that at 7:45, went late to stake Conference, then drove to Des Book to get something to send to Joseph for in his next package, then to two Barnes and Noble stores to find books for Hyrum and Mel, home, wasted time for an hour, now it's 11 and I'm going to attempt to exercise. Ugh, here I go...

  • some kind of love - stretch

Oct 29 - Nov 3 (28 weeks)

28 weeks - kabocha squash
Monday - 28 weeks today, yay! Baby approximately 2.5 pounds. Officially done with 7 months, can say I'm in my 8th month, yay. Went outside this morning for cardio, jogged half the time (cause had to hurry home to take Wes to school at 6:45... always helps to have a deadline) Left at 6:08, home at 6:44am, 2.56 miles in 35 minutes. Weight this morning - 166.6 upon waking, 165.2 after exercise. Weight was 174.6 with Daniel so I'm doing really good. (...was 157.4 with Hyrum in 2003, oh the good ol' days...) I have 11 weeks to go.

  • 15x lower than parallel squats 1/30
  • 1 min center plank on hands
I hate that workout so much... ugh, but I'm done, I did it again! Pretty good that I can still do jump lunges. I just have to do it 10 more times until the baby is born! Oct 15 - 20 (26 weeks)

26 weeks - zucchini
Monday - Morning workout - 2 Wonderful stretches, then upper body static holds as went through Killers Album, did holds as long as I could with breaks doing curls or flys - Biceps 2/8, Triceps 2/8, Chest 2/8, Back - 1 min rows 2/25, 1 min flys 2/8, repeat (4 min total), shoulder press - left shoulder press, right shoulder press, both shoulders press, shoulder side raise = 1 (I used 2/15 for the first 2 min, 2/10 last 2 min) Weight this morning 163.0, 10 pounds less than it was with Daniel at 26 weeks in 2016, so I guess that's good that I'm doing better this time.
Tuesday - Morning workout - 2 Wonderful stretches, 3 mile walk outside, jogged for about .7 miles I think, in one downhill stretch during the 2nd mile, 50 minutes time.
Wednesday - AM workout - 2 Wonderful stretches, 2 walks around the block while I did 400 walking lunges, then more stretching
Thursday - 10 am - 2.5 miles on treadmill in 37:37 minutes while I listened to an EJC zoom call with Holly, good stuff, talking about fear setting with the courage challenge.
Friday - AM - Wonderful stretches in the closet. PM - 12 min of planks
Saturday - went to temple in morning. 9 pm - 2 wonderful stretches, love. 11:30 pm - I was just going to do 2 miles on the treadmill, but then Wes said he'd join me (I invited him to exercise with me tonight, and Eth had the light on, so Wes got out of bed and saw me about to exercise) so I made up a little workout circuit that we could do together... 4 exercise sets, each set was 2 minutes, so 8 min a round, I did 3 rounds for 24 min.
  1. Treadmill 30 sec walk, 60 sec jog, 30 sec walk
  2. 5 x (jump lunge left, jump lunge right, froggy jump = 1) then 15 x lower than parallel squats (w/1 30lb), then calf raises until 2 min up
  3. stretch and 60 sec plank on hands
  4. 5x (shoulder press left, shoulder press right, both press, side raise with 2/15 = 1), then bicep curls until 2 min up
Pretty good workout, broke a good sweat. Wes did 2 rounds and then called it good. I'm sure he thinks his pregnant mom is pretty tough, he asked "How can you dance?!?" as I grooved to the Man during my curls, haha. Now it's midnight, goodnight

Oct 8 - 13 (25 weeks)

25 weeks - acorn squash
Monday - 25 weeks today. Up to workout this morning - 250 lunches as I did one walk around the block, then 30 min pause as I took Wes to school and back, then did another lap around the block and finished 150+ more lunges, 414 total walking lunges, then inside for two Wonderful Flows :) Last night I put some neosporin on my scabby knee from my fall last Monday, so it wasn't tight and cracking when I did the hipflexor stretch, nice. I decided I'll keep a bandaid on it until it's all healed. Then kids off to school, then weigh in and bath - weight 161.2, yahoo, lower than last week, sweet. Haven't had any goodies around the house, that helps. Corey bought some nutella on Saturday but I resisted and the kids ate it all and now it's gone, yay. I did buy Halloween treats today at Costco, but didn't get any chocolates, so I'm good at avoiding it if it's just sugar candy. Have it hidden from the kids in the garage. I decided to do lower body instead of cardio cause I had to take Wes, and Wednesday I take jr. high carpool, and I hate getting all cardio warmed up and then having to sit in the car and drive and not be able to stretch right away after, so I decided to do cardio on Tues-Thurs-Sat, that should help me be able to stretch right after. I'm glad it's soup season, have a big pot of Barley vegetable soup on the stove, will probably be enjoying it over the next few days.
Tuesday - 2.62 mile morning walk outside (about 5 min jogging), 44 minutes, then 2 wonderful flow stretches
Wednesday - Wonderful Wonderful flows, then upperbody - 60 curl and press, first 22 with 2/12, 14 with 2/15, 24 with 2/12 again. 30 min pause to take carpool...
...make that a 14 hour pause. 10:30 pm, doing back rows - 12 w/2/20, 10x w/225, 8x w2/30, 6x w2/30 24 reps with 2/20, tricep hold, just going for a burn with 2/12s, then some extensions with 2/12, that might be it for today.
Thursday - 2.87 mile cardio this morning walk outside, 1 mile walk, 1 mile jog, then finished with a walk. First mile pace was 17 min, second mile was 11 min, go me. Home for 2 Wonderful stretches, then a little more upperbody cause I didn't quite get to it all yesterday. The Man - bicep hold, laying down with 2/8 straight down at side for 14 counts, bring up for count 15 and 1, then The Man again for same thing with triceps, lying with arms straight above my head with 2/8, 14 count hold, 2 count extension, back to hold, then Spinal twist.
Friday - I really don't want to do my lower body workout, ugh, but I will, I can do hard things! First did my 2 Wonderful Stretches, now, let's do this! Melissa Ioja lower body workout - 6 rounds
  • 5x jump lunge left, jump lunge right, jump squat = 1
  • 20x Romanian Deadlift 2/30
  • 100x calf raise pulses 2/30
  • 15x lower than parallel squats 1/30
  • 1 min center plank on hands
Oh gosh, I'm done, man I hate that!!! At first I wasn't sure which part of that workout I hate the most... But I know, it's definitely the plank. I averaged 3:38 for my round time, pretty good - shortest was 3:30, longest was 3:43. 7:48 and I'm done, it took me an hour from wonderful flows till the last round. I pause the music and take a break after each one, but I did round 2 and 3 with no pause, woo. Woke up kids already, going to stretch again and then get them off to school. I almost just went on a walk today cause I really didn't want to face that workout, but I did it, tomorrow is just a nice walk/jog outside, so it's easy coasting from here, good week! I've been really consistent with workouts, haven't missed since Aug 1st when we were up at Park City, pretty good for a pregnant lady with 11 kids, go me

Oct 1 - 6 (24 weeks)

24 weeks - "long as ear of corn"
Monday - 24 weeks today, 2nd trimester DONE, yay, one more! (ugh) Went on a walk this morning, I was jogging and feeling good until I tripped over a curb when I was moving off the sidewalk to avoid sprinklers, darn it, been here before with kids in utero... with baby Joseph I was in a small car accident, I got hit and spent a day in the hospital to monitor the baby, tripping over a curb with Hyrum in utero up at Park City, tripping with baby Owen... here we go again. But I gotta be a responsible bearer of children. ...Good thing I already had an ultrasound scheduled for today, so yay. Everything placenta wise looked good with baby from my slip and fall, and 3 of the 4 concerns they had last ultrasound also looked normal today, yay. They said the baby is 1 lb 5 oz. My amniotic fluid still measured high, she gave me a paper slip to come back in 4 weeks but I didn't schedule it, going to tell my dr. I don't want to go in again, I don't see a reason. Weight this morning 162.0, doh, I really jumped through the 150s fast... quite a big jump from last week but better than I was 2 years ago with Daniel - (see end of this post), so that's good. I'm just going to keep up the daily workouts and keep myself strong, trusting I'll get my body back sometime next year, yay
Tuesday - Body for Life upper body today, with reps of 12-10-8-6-12, then 12 reps of a different exercise. All weights were in dumbbells

Chest Flys on Ball - weight 10, 12, 15, 20, 15, lying chest press 15
Bent over Back Flys - weight 8, 10, 12, 15, 12, t ups/holds 5 lbs

  • 15x lower than parallel squats 1/30

Friday - Woke up to do my 10 minutes of stretching, I love it. Its raining outside, so I did my cardio on the treadmill this morning - 2.5 miles in 35 minutes. Listened to Killers Wonderful Wonderful, did 5 min walk and 5 min jog repeated 3 times, then one more 5 min walk. Gotta good sweat going on, now it's 7 am and I'm done! Although I might stretch a little more. So far during this pregnancy my hips are not hurting me at all, and my left calf varicose veins haven't hurt at all either.
Saturday - 9:00, General Conference in an hour, have done my 2 Wonderful Flows, now:
The Man - shoulders - side and front raises and holds as long as I could, 2/5 lbs
Rut - triceps - lying hold above head at 90 degrees with 2/8 till half way through song, then arms straight with 2/5

Sep 24 - 29 (23 weeks)

23 weeks - Eggplant
Monday - 23 weeks today. One more week and 2nd trimester is done, yeah, then just one more. The moon was almost full this morning, so pretty as it set in the west. I went outside to enjoy it for a bit as I walked, but I mostly jogged cause I had to get back and take Wes to school. 27 minute walk/run, 2.11 miles. Then took Wes, then home for my Wonderful Wonderful stretching routine - swan dive, warrior 1, warrior 2, reverse warrior, runners pose, kneeling hipflexor stretch, hamstring stretch. Do all that for one round of song on left leg, then repeat song and repeat all on right side. I love it, very therapeutic
Tuesday - 10 min stretching, 200 walking lunges around the neighborhood. I wanted to watch the full moon set so I drove up to the canyon and did 200 more walking lunges up there while I watched it, beautiful! So total of 400 walking lunges. If I'm super sore tomorrow then I'll know that I hadn't worked my way up enough and that last time (on Mon) it was 200 lunges and not 300
Wednesday - 2 wonderful wonderful stretches, then outside for a walk/jog, went 2.53 miles in 33 min. I'm not sore from the lunges yesterday, cool! Either the Melissa Ioja weekly workout I'm doing has been keeping me strong or it's all good stretching I do in the mornings.
Thursday - 2 x Wonderful Wonderful for stretches and warm up
The Man - shoulders - side and front raises and holds as long as I could, 2/5 lbs
Rut - triceps - lying hold above head at 90 degrees with 2/8 till half way through song, then arms straight with 2/5
Life to Come - chest - 2/8 laying with arms in a press pose, then switched to 2/5 with arms straight out in a T
Run for Cover - back - on tummy with pillows protecting my tummy, tried holding a T with 2/5, some alternates of one arm in a curl the other straight out to side
Tyson vs. Douglas - biceps, 2/8lb weights, laying on ground with arms straight down at side, some slight 90 degree curls
2x Some Kind of Love - chest stretches with spinal twist
Friday - None of the kids have school today, left at 8 am for a walk, 43 minutes, 2.54 miles
Saturday - 10:40 pm - modified Melissa Ioja lower body only workout - Mark set go -
  • 5x of jump lunge right, jump lunge left, jump squat = 1
  • 20x Romanian Deadlifts 2/30
  • 100x of calf raise pulses 2/30
  • 15x of lower than parallel squats with 1/30 lb
  • 1 min center plank on hands
Rounds 1, 2, 5, 6 were over 4 min, 3 &4 were 3:52. I am totally sweating and dying, I hate this workout! But I did it, go me. I increased weight to 2/30 instead of 2/25 for the deadlifts and calf raises. I was going to do 7 rounds. but I'll say that increasing the weight was good enough for this week, maybe I'll do 7 rounds next Thurs. Going to go stretch, bathe, then to bed. Good night!

Sep 17 - 22 (22 weeks)

22 Weeks - Papaya
Monday - 22 weeks today. 5 min warm up flow and 5 min on treadmill, then outside for walk/jog/lunges. Did 300 (or 200?) lunges, I lost count at 220 (120) - wasn't sure which 100s I was on. Did 10 min of straight jogging! Total time 61 minutes, 3.68 miles. Weight 156.6, 3.5 gain, not very happy with that, but I'm not surprised, that's what I get for eating junk.
Tuesday - 8 min walk outside, then stretching, then Body for Life upper body today, with reps of 12-10-8-6-12, then 12 reps of a different exercise. All weights were in dumbbells
Bicep curls - weight 10, 12, 15, 20, 15, hammer curls 15
Lying Triceps extensions - weight 10, 12, 15, 20, 15, chair dips w/no weight
Seated Shoulder Press - weight 10, 12, 15, 20, 15, side raises 8
Chest Flys on Ball - weight 10, 12, 15, 20, 15, lying chest press 15
Back Flys on Ball - weight 8, 10, 12, 15, 12, t ups/holds 5 lbs, did like 36 reps
Wednesday - 5 min stretching then did a treadmill run inside today - 5 min walk 5 min jog, went 2.44 miles in 31 min according to the treadmill, 2.48 in 34 min by the phone's recordings, pretty close. Stretching. Weighed myself this am, 157.8 first thing this morning. Have a dr appointment today, so I wanted to prepare myself for the bad weight gain news. It's been 6 weeks since my last appt, I've gained 10 lbs. Usually I gain most my weight in the 2nd trimester, then only 5 in the last, so hopefully that will be the case again. I might have to take all the kids with me this morning, and I bet it will be hard, thus I shall be pushing out my next appointment for as far away as possible cause of the difficulty it causes me to have to go to appointments, I don't like appointments. They've gathered enough stats on me with the past children, I don't want you to get my blood pressure and weight numbers, just average out all the other pregnancies and we'll call it good. Maybe I'll pretend we're going to Brazil and will be back at Christmas..
Thursday - 6:00 walk around the block, flow and stretching, then modified Melissa Ioja workout - all lower body thing - started at 6:55 with quite a few interruptions, 6 rounds of:
  • 5x of jump lunge right, jump lunge left, jump squat = 1
  • 20x Romanian Deadlifts 2/25
  • 100x of calf raise pulses 2/25
  • 15x of lower than parallel squats with 1/30 lb
  • 1 min center plank on hands
I did 4 of the rounds in under 4 minutes, rounds 2 and 4 were 4:30, cause I kept getting interrupted by the drama of my slow teen that is slow to wake up and has no hustle button and makes his siblings late for school. Stretching.
Friday - Walk outside, nice and cool this morning. Started at 6:55 for 45 minutes, 2.69 miles. Stretching after I got back home.
Saturday - 7:55 am cranked it out, did upper body static holds
  • Wonderful Wonderful - warm up - flows and stretching warm up
  • The Man - shoulders - side and front raises and holds as long as I could, 2/5 lbs
  • Rut - triceps - lying hold above head with 2/5
  • Life to Come - chest - 2/8 laying with arms out and hold a T, with straight arm would bring them up in a chest fly when needed a break
  • Run for Cover - back - on tummy with pillows protecting my tummy, tried holding a T with 2/5, also would alternate one arm in a curl the other straight out to side
Tyson vs. Douglas - biceps, 2/8lb weights, laying on ground with arms straight down at side, some slight 90 degree curls
8:22 now, gotta take Abi to soccer

Sep 10 - 15 (21 weeks)

21 Weeks - "As long as a carrot"
Monday - 21 weeks today. Went on a walk/jog outside at 6:05-6:38, set a timer for every 5 min to help me alternate walking and jogging for 6 rounds, then stretching at home before I took Wes to school. Weight 153.2, .4 gain, not bad considering we had two birthdays this past week and my vegan son and I enjoyed some cashew milk frozen desserts. Off to a good start for the week.
Tuesday - 6:00 walk around the block, did 100 walking lunges, stretching, then my modified Melissa Ioja workout - all lower body thing - started at 7, 6 rounds of:
  • 5x of jump lunge right, jump lunge left, jump squat = 1
  • 20x Romanian Deadlifts 2/25
  • 15x of lower than parallel squats with 1/30 lb
  • 100x of calf raise pulses 2/25
  • 1 min center plank on hands
I did all 6 rounds in under 5 minutes! Finished at 7:40, woo! After round 5 I was like "ONE MORE>> you can do this!" It's nice that each exercise goes by quickly, thus making each round go by quickly. (well, except for the plank.) (...and the squats.) Feel good, very sweaty, going to stretch for 20 and then get the elementary kids off to school.
Wednesday - Morning walk/jog outside. I left a little later than I should have (6:24), so I didn't do my last 5 min jog cause it was too light at the end and I didn't want to draw attention to myself. According to the mileage and time recorded on my samsung health app, I went 2.38 miles in 36 minutes. Done at 7:01. Nice to be outside this morning. I still need to stretch tho - I had to take carpool right after I got home, so now I'm tight again, need to warm up and stretch, pretty tight after yesterday's workout
Thursday - Started with a quick 10 min walk outside for 10 min. Then inside for upper body static holds, didn't feel strong during the biceps, that might have affected me feeling weak for the rest of them too!
  • Wonderful Wonderful - warm up - flows and stretching warm up
  • The Man - biceps, 2/8lb weights (was 5 last week, this was harder!) laying on ground with arms straight down at side, some slight 90 degree curls
  • Rut - triceps - first 3 min of song with 2/8, then 2/5lbs for rest, hard, kinda awkward for my left shoulder. laying on ground arms straight above, some slight extension
  • Life to Come - chest - 2/8 laying with arms out at a T, with straight arm would bring them up in a chest fly, hard but doable
  • Run for Cover - back - on tummy with pillows protecting junior, tried holding a T with 2/5, also would alternate one arm in a curl the other straight out to side, did better (a little stronger) than last week I think
Tyson vs. Douglas - shoulders - side and front raises and holds as long as I could, 2/5 lbs, my arms are pretty done though, so did some dumbbell swings and would hold until I couldn't, swing back, then hold again as long as could, did that for the last 90 sec of song.
  • Some Kind of Love - stretching - 2 repeats of song, spinal twist like Zuzka shows on the left for one song, repeat on right.
  • Rest of songs on album - stretching
Friday - 40 min walk/jog this morning outside, 5 min walk, 5 min jog. Went 2.88 miles
Saturday - I was supposed to do lower body today, but it was kinda crazy busy with homecoming the older kids and soccer and Jr. Symphony and life in general. I didn't workout other than walking at Abi's game, Costco, during other errands, and at a neighborhood gathering tonight. Health app says I went over 10,000 steps, abt 5 miles. I did do 15 min of intentional stretching, so I guess we'll call it good with that.

Sep 3 - 8 (20 weeks)

20 Weeks - Artichoke
Monday - 20 weeks today. Happy Birthday Abi! Labor day, I didn't exercise this morning cause I went to the store to get Abi a few more b-day gifts. Weigh in was 152.8, 2 pound jump, I did feel a big increase in appetite this past week. Now it's 10:30 at night, Abi is exercising with me! Upper body static holds
  • Wonderful Wonderful - warm up - flows and stretching warm up
  • The Man - shoulders - side and front raises alternating, 2/8 lbs. Abi did 2/5
  • Rut - triceps - Laying on back, held both of my arms straight above my head holding 1/8, J didn't take any breaks! I held it the whole time as I sang "Don't you give up, don't you give up!" woo! Abi did 1/5
  • Life to Come - chest - 2/8 laying with arms out at a T, with straight arm would bring them up in a chest fly, Abi did 2/5
  • Run for Cover -biceps, 2/8lb weights, laying on ground with arms straight down, then sat up in an L and held them in a static bicep curl position. Abi 2/5
  • Tyson vs. Douglas - back - on tummy on exercise ball, tried holding a T with 2/5, some alternate one arms in a curl the other straight out to side, Abi 2/3s
  • Some Kind of Love, through Have All The Songs Been Written - lots of stretching - spinal twist and chest and arm stretches on ball
Tuesday - 30 min treadmill cardio at 6 am, 5 min walk/5 min jog listening to Wonderful Wonderful. 2.42 miles, then stretching
Wednesday - Modified the Melissa Ioja workout from the past few weeks so that it is an all lower body thing - 6:25 am -
  • 5x of jump lunge right, jump lunge left, jump squat = 1
  • 20x Romanian Deadlifts 2/25
  • 15x of lower than parallel squats with 1/30 lb
  • 90x of calf raise pulses 2/30: switching toes forward, in, and out
  • 1 min center plank on hands
I did most rounds in a little over 5 minutes. Finished at 7:10. Woo, hope that doesn't make my legs too sore later today/tomorrow. Stretched until 7:40
Thursday - Happy Birthday Sophi! 6:10 am, usual treadmill cardio, went 2.5 miles, 5 walk/5 jog, in 32.15 min. I did not like the jogging today, but I did it the whole 5 min each time. Stretching
Friday - 6:15 am - feeling tight this morning. 30 toy soldiers, 10 min walk (.55 mile) stretching for 10 min, then a ZGYM workout - Upper Body and Abs Basics #3:
  • 1 min plank hold on hands
  • 2 assisted pull ups & 4 kneeling push ups > 5x
  • side plank hold with bottom leg knee tuck - 10x left, then 10x right
  • 3 hanging knee raises & kneeling push up to oplank reptile knee tuck left, knee tuck right > 4x
  • KB one arm press (but I don't have a kettlebell so used 20lb dummbell 2x left, 2x right > 4x
... and now I am sweaty. It's supposed to be a 12 min amrap, but I followed along with the video, where she does 1.5 rounds, so then I just finished that round after the video stopped. So 2 rounds, and I'm guessing it took me 20 min total.
Saturday - 9:53 pm, walk/jog outside around the block. 36 minutes. I walked a lap, jogged a lap for 6 laps. A few of my jogs became walks if a car was passing by, cause I feel stupid jogging pregnant in public, like I'm trying to be an overachiever or something, so I walked a few times when I should have been jogging. Nice to be outside though. Listened to this talk by Jeffrey McLellan, made me cry, really good. I'm giving a talk tomorrow in church about feeling God's love during trials.

Aug 27 - Sep 1 (19 weeks)

19 Weeks
Monday - 19 Weeks today. I finally felt a little kick last night from this little person. Killers Treadmill workout this morning - started at 6:15 with a warm up to Wonderful Wonderful with two 1 min hand center planks, walk to The Man, then skip to Tyson vs. Douglas for a full jog, then to Life to Come for walk and 1 sprint, then 2 sprints and walking during Run for Cover, another walk in Rut, one more sprint during the intro to Run for Cover again, stretching during Some Kind of Love. I think my whole family is sick of this album but I still love it. Done in 24:30, yeah. Then took Wes to school. Weight 150.6
Tuesday - Upper body static holds
  • Wonderful Wonderful - warm up - flows and stretching warm up
  • The Man - shoulders - side and front raises alternating, 2/8 lbs, usually end with shoulders so I thought I'd start this week.
  • Rut - triceps - Laying on back, held both of my arms above my head holding 1/8, did this hold the hold time with brief breaks. My left shoulder was being weird again, but finally got it in a good spot, I needed to really contract my muscles as I moved into the hold and then it worked/didn't pop or feel weird.
  • Life to Come - chest - 2/8 laying with arms out at a T, with straight arm would bring them up in a chest fly, hard but doable
  • Run for Cover -biceps, 2/8lb weights, laying on ground with arms out in T, some straight arm flys up.
  • Tyson vs. Douglas - back - on tummy on exercise ball, tried holding a T with 2/5, some alternate one arms in a curl the other straight out to side
  • Some Kind of Love - stretching - two repeats of song doing spinal twist like Zuzka shows and chest and arm stretches on ball
Ultrasound was today, we are having another boy!
Wednesday - 2 miles, 1.6 in 19:30, then paused to go make my 16 year old a lunch which slightly irritated me (he needs to learn to manage his time) and then finished off .4 in 3:50 then off to take carpool. Stretching after I got back home. Kinda napped a lot today, ate the left over junk food from yesterday's baby gender reveal (crunch bar and resees cups) I think that could be why I don't have a lot of energy, going to eat clean tomorrow.
Thursday - Started this Melissa Ioja workout at 6:35 that I did last week. Did 6 rounds again, each round consisted of:
  • 5x of jump lunge right, jump lunge left, jump squat = 1
  • 5x of left shoulder press, right shoulder press, both shoulders press, shoulder side raise = 1
  • 15x of lower than parallel squats with 1/30 lb
  • 3x of 3 wide bicep curls, 3 standard curls, 3 hammer curls = 1
  • 1 min center plank on hands
I did most rounds in abt 3 minutes. Did first 3 rounds with 2/15 dumbbells, the next 3 rounds with 2/12. Only did round 1 of plank for the full 60 seconds, all the other rounds I had to take a few second breaks during it, cause it's hard! Zuzka stretching like last week. I'm going in to get my blood drawn for the panorama genetic test thing today. Corey said it's the blessing/curse/price of living in a society with modern medicine.
Friday - Treadmill cardio - did 5 min walk, then 5 min jog, for 30 minutes. Went 2.3 miles, then stretching for 20 min.
Saturday - Temple this morning, it's past midnight now and just did 12 min of planks, center planks were on hands, did 2 min sets with a brief stretch in between. Goodnight

Aug 20 - 25 (18 weeks)

18 Weeks
Monday - "sweet potato" size, but still haven't felt any strong movements from the baby. First day of school for the first 4 kids. Treadmill workout this morning - a little bit of walking but mostly jogging, yay. Did 2 miles in 24 minutes, really good! I did three 1 min sprints, and almost a fourth but that one was only 30 seconds. I was happy Owen didn't wake up crazy early this morning. Weight 149.4
Tuesday - Upper body static holds
Wonderful Wonderful - warm up - flows and stretching warm up
The Man - biceps, 2/8lb weights (was 5 last week, this was harder!) laying on ground with arms straight down at side, some slight 90 degree curls
Rut - triceps - first 3 min of song with 2/8, then 2/5lbs for rest, hard, kinda awkward for my left shoulder. laying on ground arms straight above, some slight extension
Life to Come - chest - 2/8 laying with arms out at a T, with straight arm would bring them up in a chest fly, hard but doable
Run for Cover - back - on tummy with pillows protecting junior, tried holding a T with 2/5, also would alternate one arm in a curl the other straight out to side, did better (a little stronger) than last week I think
Tyson vs. Douglas - shoulders - side and front raises and holds as long as I could, 2/5 lbs, my arms are pretty done though, so did some dumbbell swings and would hold until I couldn't, swing back, then hold again as long as could, did that for the last 90 sec of song.
Some Kind of Love - stretching - spinal twist like Zuzka shows
Rest of the songs on the album - chest and arm stretches on ball, leg lifts, three 1 min center planks
Wednesday - 11:50 to go 1 mile on treadmill, then took Eth to school, back for another mile in 11:40 before getting jr. high kids off and waking up elementary kids - today was their first day. First day of back to reality for everyone! I'm proud I've been getting in my workouts in the a.m. Next week it will hopefully be easier.
Thursday - Daniel woke up at 4:30 this morning. Then after an hour of unsuccessfully trying to get him back to bed, I decided to just get up. Gave him some cereal and mopped the floor. Started this Melissa Ioja workout at 6:15 that I did June 15th, but just 6 rounds (since I remember that the first/last time when I did 10 rounds, I couldn't walk for a week...) Each round consisted of:
  • 5x of jump lunge right, jump lunge left, jump squat = 1
  • 5x of left shoulder press, right shoulder press, both shoulders press, shoulder side raise = 1
  • 15x of lower than parallel squats with 1/30 lb
  • 3x of 3 wide bicep curls, 3 standard curls, 3 hammer curls = 1
I did most of my rounds in about 3 minutes. Did 3 rounds with 2/15, then Zuzka's Legs like a Dancer #4 stretching again (started at 41:20 min), then 3 more rounds with 2/12. Finished a little after 7:08 am, might do more stretching upstairs if I can, need to get kids up. Tried to do a pull up hold/letdown, I could barely hold myself up for 10 seconds, doh! I'm going to try to work on that weekly again like I did in May.
Friday - Woke up at 5:30, Daniel woke up at 6, he had a nightmare apparently, cause he work up screaming and then said "Bad guy" over and over. They watched Toy Story while I did a treadmill workout, alternating between slow song and fast songs, walking and jog/sprint during the different songs. Did two 1 min sprints, jogged during all of two other songs, good sweat, 2 miles in 27:25, done at 7 am.
Saturday - Busy Saturday, left for temple at 5:30 this morning, took a nap after I got back. Finally got in my workout at 11:45 pm - did four rounds of: .25 treadmill then 1 min center plank on hands, then 8 min of stretching, 12:15 am, time for bed

Aug 13 - 18 (17 weeks)

17 weeks - pear
Monday - 2.25 miles on treadmill in 30:10. Did four one minute sprints, go me! Zuzka Legs like a Dancer #4 stretching (started at 41:20 min) Weight this morning after exercising was 148.2 again, 3rd week in a row with no gain, that makes me glad. And really I shouldn't be gaining much, right? If junior is just growing from an apple to an avocado to a pear, I shouldn't be gaining pounds upon pounds yet, so good. I'm trying to not be hung up on the outcome/scale number though, just controlling the controllables that I DO have control over everyday, as Holly says. I've been exercising daily and eating my vegetables! I'm going to keep focusing on the things I do every day and will not focus on the outcome, but again, nice when the outcome is favorable!
Tuesday - Upper body static holds
The Man - biceps, 2/5lb weights, laying on ground with arms straight down at side, some slight curls
Rut - triceps 2/5lbs laying on ground arms straight above, some slight extension
Life to Come - chest - 2/5 laying with arms out at a T
Run for Cover - back - on tummy, tried holding a T with 2/5, my back is pretty weak though, struggled
Tyson vs. Douglas - back again - on tummy holding a T out with no weights, a few grabs of 2/3lbs
Some Kind of Love - shoulders - side raise holds with 2/3lbs, my arms are blasted!
Get You Out of My Mind - chest and arm stretches on ball
Wednesday - Treadmill walk/jog/sprint. 2 miles in 24:40, yeah. Walked until 30 min, 2.3 miles. Done before 8 am, which is also good, good prep before school starts next week. Also Zuzka's Legs like a Dancer #4 stretching again (started at 41:20 min)
Thursday - Bad night last night, thus a bad morning, so didn't exercise this morning. 11:30 pm and just finished 12 minutes of planks. Those center planks on hands are super hard!
Friday - 27:45 on treadmill, 2.25 miles. Walked for a song, then jogged for a song until had gone 2 miles then a 3 min cool down walk, 10 min stretching
Saturday - 9pm-10pm, did Zuzka's Legs like a Dancer #6

Monday, August 6, 2018

Aug 6 - 11 (16 weeks)

16 weeks - avocado
Monday - 16 weeks. Treadmill walk/jog/sprint at 7 am, though I was fighting getting up. I've been in the bad habit the past 2 months of hitting snooze, but it's almost back to reality with school in 2 weeks, better start getting adjusted. So I did 2.20 miles in 30 minutes (finished 2 miles at 26:30) Weight 148.2 this morning, yeah, no gain this week - I'm also proud of that number cause it's after a week of family reunion time and there were chances to eat cake, ice cream, licorice, and cookies. I didn't eat any of them except for some popcorn, so go me.
Tuesday - 8:00 am - upper body exercises like last Tues, same songs and exercises but in different order.
1) Biceps/The Man, curls and static holds w/15s and 10s
2) Back/Tyson vs. Douglas, flys and holds with 5s
3) Shoulders/Run for Cover, lat and front raises with 5s, then upward press with 12s
4) Chest/Rut - Presses and holds with 10s
5) Triceps/Life to Come, 10s for press holds, straight arm holds with one 10
Then did Zuzka's Legs Like a Dancer #5, good stuff. I have to be honest I laugh/am embarrassed when I think about how I must look doing these exercises compared to her!
Wednesday - 2 mile walk/jog on treadmill 7:52-8:18 (no sprint via Run for Cover song, but I did jog the entire second mile) 26 minutes. Listening to Imagine Dragons Evolve.
Thursday - .5 mile walk, Dragon pose for 13 seconds, then a Holly workout Jan 2018 OSG -  5 reps each of the following in an AMRAP
- warm up
8 min lower body density set - (I did 7 sets)
1) Deadlifts with 2/20 lbs
2) RDL reach
3) Sumo Squat 1/30 lb
7 min upper body density set - (I did 5 sets)
1) Stability Ball over press 1/15 lb
2) Blast Off Pushup
3) Bent Over Row 2/25s
2 Min sizzler - triple crush and bear knee slap
-cool down and stretching
Friday - 7:35am 2.23 miles on treadmill in 30:44, walk and jog mostly, good sweat, sprint during chorus of Run for Cover. Stretching with Zuzka, the last 15 min of Legs like a dancer #5, started at 38:00
Saturday - 28 min on treadmill, walk, jog and one 60 sec sprint with a few more sprints. Then Zuzka's 15 min mat stretches again.

Jul 30 - Aug 4 (15 weeks)

15 weeks - apple
Monday - 15 weeks. 11pm 2 mile walk/jog/sprint on treadmill, time 25:15. Weight before bed after run - 148.2
Tuesday - Made up a little upperbody workout today - just workout the muscle group for the whole song - Of course listening to Wonderful Wonderful - did the following during the listed song with the lbs in two dumbbells:
  • The Man - Bicep static holds and curls, 15 lbs and 12 lbs
  • Rut - chest - laying on back holding arms out straight down, so side, and above head, 10 lbs
  • Life to Come - triceps - laying overhead holds and extensions 12 lbs
  • Run for Cover - shoulders - front and side raises and holds 5 lbs
  • Tyson vs. Douglas - back - on an exercise ball on my tummy - did static holds, pathetic flys and pulses on ball with 5 lbs. Might have been pathetic cause my arms are already blasted from the first 4 exercises. woo
Wednesday - nothing. Came back up to Park City last night and I was on toddler duty all day. Too tired and done with the day to do anything at 11:30 pm when they were finally in bed. The gym here has been remodeled though, looks really nice. I'd like to go in and do something before we leave, we'll see if I'm lucky enough to have an hour to myself.
Thursday - 9 pm I asked Corey to take over so I could go take a walk alone and be off kid duty for a few (he had to go to work today for a meeting so I was on duty all day) took a 40 minute walk around Park City, nice to clear my head and breathe
Friday - I'm at home, came home last night, might go back up today to get Wes cause he has a LBB video recording I might take him to. 11:20 am - treadmill walk/jog sprint. Walk during The Man, sprint and walk during Run for Cover, then jog during Tyson vs. Douglas - those three songs gave me one mile, so I did it all again for 2 miles in 24:35. Then stretching.
Saturday - 12 min of planks, and for the center plank it was up on my hands, not on my elbows. I always thought elbows must be the more difficult one cause you are closer to the ground, but up on your hands in a pre-push up position is definitely harder! Will be doing that from now on

Monday, July 23, 2018

Jul 23 - 28 (14 weeks)

14 Weeks - Nectarine
Monday - 14 weeks, baby the size of a nectarine, uterus size of a grapefruit. I got up early at 6!!! First time I've done that in a few weeks (well, except when I had to take Wes to the tour bus) 6:10 went on a 40 min walk. Feeling really good after a great week last week. 7:00 am - Did this June 2018 workout by Holly, I used one 15 pound weight for all the 4x5 stuff, then for the sizzler I used a 30 lb dumbbell for the first 2 min, 20 lbs for the last 2. Good sweat goin' on. Weight this morning after exercise - 145.0, last preg at 14 weeks: weight 150.0 lbs. 8:30 pm - 20 min walk on treadmill while I watched Dude Perfect videos, beach stereotypes, (they are funny)
Tuesday - Morning: 1.5 miles on treadmill in 22:50 min, then ZGYM workout Legs like a dancer #3, I'm loving the ZGYM. Also did about 50 walking laps in the lazy river at cowabunga bay yesterday, did long stretching lunges for some of them, that should count for something
Wednesday - 9 am - 20:47 min walk on treadmill, 1.06 miles, as I watch a Dude Perfect Overtime video, might be my new easy walk thing. Going to do a run later. Now I gotta go clean the kitchen. 10:55 pm - 14 min run on the treadmill, 1:02 miles. Did warm up walk to The Man, then walk with two 1 min sprints during Run for Cover (of course!), then jogged during Tyson vs. Douglas, good song to jog to, good sweat
Thursday - 8:10 am, 1.36 miles walking in 25 minutes, then Holly's July workout C (not a workout I'll be able to do during the next few months) 12 minutes EMOM -Every minute on the minute do 10 reps:
  • 1 min plank hold (she did chair burpees but I didn't want to do that)
  • child pose to push up
  • superman T hold (she did superwoman 10x but I didn't want to move alot on my belly, I won't be able to do superman in a month anyway)
  • Standing RDL, 10 left, then next round 10 right, last round 10 each
Friday - walk on treadmill for 21 minutes, went 1.15 miles, then Zuzka's Legs like a dancer #4
Saturday - 12 minutes of planks
