Jan 28 - Feb 2 (Peter is 2 weeks old)

Monday - Peter is 2 weeks old today, we love him. He has messed up my morning workout time though, but I'm still getting it in, so it's okay. Today I did 3 miles on the treadmill from 11:15 - noon. Finished 3 miles in 41.16. I did it while the kids were in the basement watching Wreck It Ralph, so they didn't want me to sprint cause then the treadmill was too loud. So I walked most of the time. First mile was 15 min, 2nd mile 13.30 min. Then the movie ended as I was near the end of my workout, so I was able to do two 60 sec sprints before 3 miles was up, but then wanted to finish and get 4 sprints in, so I did two more. Total time 3.5 miles in 47 minutes, then 3 min cooldown. Total 3.66 miles in 50 min. Nice and sweaty. 2 Wonderful pigeon stretches. Peter was an angel and slept the whole time, he's a good baby. Weight after workout - 157.8, yay, new low. When Owen was 2 weeks old I was 173, with Daniel I was 165, so I'm doing really good!
Tuesday - 12 minutes of planks
Wednesday - 3 mile walk in 52 minutes. Didn't get a lot of sleep last night and so I didn't feel like jogging, but I can make myself walk
Thursday - 10:45 pm - did lower body of the following:
  • 5x jump lunge left, jump lunge right, jump squat = 1
  • 100x calf raise pulses 2/30
  • 20x Romanian Deadlift 2/30
  • 15x lower than parallel squats 1/30
  • 1 min center plank on hands 
Did each round in 3:30. 3 rounds, then 60 min break to feed Peter, finished at 12:15, goodnight
Friday - 3 miles total in 37:48 - I pushed hard for my first 2 miles, finished in 20:48, that included lots of jogging and four 60 sec sprints. Then a nice mile cool down walk. Going to go wash my hair now, yay. Weight 160.2
Saturday - lots of housework, a 30 second hand stand against the wall, 2 wonderful pigeon flows

Jan 21 - 26 (Peter is 1 week old)

Monday - This little boy got a name on Friday - Peter Benjamin Wride. We're all still getting used to it though... Corey's calling him Percival, I keep calling him Daniel on accident, Ethan calls him Simba. He's a cutie and is one week old today!
I'm very sore from the lower body workout on Saturday, but I can walk, so that's good. Did 3 miles this morning. 1.54 in 29 minutes - walked and talked with Nicole. Next 1.5 mile was mostly jogging and done in 17 min, Total time 46:14. Also did quite a bit of shoveling today - we got dumped on big time. Weight 160.0, I'm only overweight anymore according to my samsung app, not obese anymore, ha, yay
Tuesday - More shoveling cause they finally plowed the street and it gave us a wall of snow in front of the driveway that the cars probably would be better to not drive through. Still sore from Saturday's workout. At 12:30 did 2 Wonderful warrior flows. Let's still sore and tight from Sat workout. Going to try and do some upper body later...
Wednesday - Peter slept really well last night - he woke up to nurse but didn't cry, so I didn't have to come onto the couch, yay, I slept in my bed and kinda feel rested! 2 Wonderful warrior flows, 3 miles on treadmill. Carpool this morning, so didn't workout first thing, tried to do it with kids awake, .5 miles in 9:28 before I gave up (O and D have been on one!) then did 2.5 after they went down for naps, time 34 min, total time 43:28. Did a few 60 sec sprints. Waterfasted all day today.
Thursday - Weight this am - 158.8, yay. 2 Wonderful pigeon stretches at 7:20 am. 10:15 pm did 12 minutes of planks
Friday - I was looking at old entries today of what I did for workouts after Owen and Daniel were born. (I was actually looking for my weight stats, but guess I'll have to go look in my old planner for those) Anyway, saw that I was doing 2 miles, and when D was 2 weeks old I did 2 miles in 21 minutes! Wow, so I thought I'd give that a go since I only had an hour before Natalie had to go to school and thus I was cutting it close to do my usual 3 miles. I pushed myself hard and did 2 miles in 21:10! I did four 60 sec sprints! Then an 8 min cooldown walking .5 miles. It feels good to work hard (after it's over anyway!)
Saturday - 11:20 pm, blasted out a quick workout...
  • 100 bicep during The Man - 25 reps of curls with 2/12, 25 hammer curls with 2/15, 25 reg curls 2/12, 25 reps swing hammer curls 2/15
  • 100 shoulder raises/swings - side raises 25 reps 2/5, 25 reps of front 2/8, front raise swings 2/10, 25 upward rows 2/12 during Rut song 
  • chest holds for 7 counts with fly on count 8 repeated through Life to Come song - while lying on bench 2/8, was able to get a good stretch on the holds on the bench
  • Run for Cover - 100 tricep extentions: 25 reps with 2/8, 25x 1/20, 25x 1/30, 25x 1/25 
  • Tyson vs. Douglas - back with 2/5 lbs, hold for 7 counts and rest on count 8

Jan 14 - 18 (39 weeks - Baby born!)

39 weeks - small watermelon
Monday - 39 weeks today. Weight upon waking 174.8. Scheduled for elective induction. Woke up several times during the night, but got up for the day at 4:45, then to the treadmill, walked 3 miles in 53:30 minutes. finished at 5:55. Weight after workout 173.2. I called hospital at 7, they told me to call back at 10. Fingers crossed that they can get me in today. It won't kill me to have to wait another day or two but I'd really rather not.
  - Went to hospital at 12:30, pitocin started at 2, water broke at 3:30, dilated to 5 at 6pm, baby boy born at 7 - 7 lbs 8 oz, 19 inches long, he's so little!
Tuesday - 2 am - 2 Wonderful pigeon flows, so nice to have free range of movement again.
Home from hospital at 8:45 pm. Walk and jog on treadmill at 9:15, finished 3 miles in 43 minutes, done at 9:58, bath, weight 165.8
Wednesday - shoveled the driveway a little bit this morning. Was going to exercise tonight, but were waiting for visitors from the ward that I thought were coming at 8. I got ready to exercise at 9, and then they showed up. And after they left the baby needed me, so all i did today was shoveling. But after being thrown off at the hospital (not a lot of veggie servings given in those hospital meals! too bad) I got all my daily dozen today, hooray!
Thursday - 3 miles this morning. Started 6:36, did .5 miles, then pause to feed baby. 7:12 started again - did 5 minutes then a 60 second center plank on repeat until I finished 2.5 miles. Did quite a bit of jogging, finished 2.5 in 32:50, so total time of 39:16, not bad! Plus 5 one minute center planks on hands. Good workout.
Friday - Shoveled the driveway at 2 and did a 5 minute feel good flow at 11pm
Saturday - 5:30 pm did some lower body resistance (first time doing resistance in afew weeks, yay) did my modified Melissa Ioja workout - 6 rounds of the following:
  • 5x jump lunge left, jump lunge right, jump squat = 1
  • 100x calf raise pulses 2/30
  • 20x Romanian Deadlift 2/30
  • 15x lower than parallel squats 1/30
  • 1 min center plank on hands 
Did each round in 3:30 or less, fastest was 3:17. Did a waterfast today, weight 164.0

39 weeks with Owen in 2015
39 weeks with Daniel in 2016 - 180.2 morning of delivery, 172.4 by Saturday

Jan 7 - 12 (38 weeks)

38 weeks - long as rhubarb
Monday - 38 weeks today. Started treadmill walk at 7:50 AM, did 1 mile in 18:10, said goodbye to my little girls and they finished getting out the door to school while I went back downstairs to the treadmill, another mile, timer hadn't reset so Finished 2 miles in total time of 38:10 as I listened to an EJC Zoom call. Paused to share my wins, got breakfast for Owen and Daniel. Then one more mile while talked to BFF Nicole. Weight first thing this morning 174.8, after 12 oz of water and 3 miles of exercise was 172.4, sweet. Had my last doctor appointment at 11:30, I'm scheduled to be induced next Monday, hallelujah
Tuesday - Did lots of housework today mostly mopping, sweeping, washing walls and windows... house looked great until the kids came home, ha, yup that's how it is. Did 20+ minutes wonderful pigeon stretches before bed
Wednesday - I woke up at 5:30 this morning, only got in .25 cause I was following up with kids - waking them up, Wes had to go to American Fork to leave for a jazz band tour to Reno, Hyrum had to go to school early to retake a math test, then back home again only to turn around to take Jr. high carpool. I didn't get back to the treadmill until 11:30. But I did make it back, finished my 3 miles by doing 2.8 more, took me 46 minutes. Did a little big of jogging, 4.4 pace during Imagine Dragons Polaroid, also a good jog during 2 repeats of I'm So Sorry. Good sweat. Side pic of myself this evening -
Thursday - 2 Wonderful warrior stretches
Friday - Did 3 miles this morning. Maybe I'll do 3 miles Monday morning, or maybe today will have been my last time! Yay! The older kids didn't have school today, so I woke up at 7:05, got ready, treadmill 1.5 miles in 28 minutes, then woke up the elementary girls, back on the treadmill at 7:58 to hurry and finish, did 1.5 miles in 26 minutes.
Saturday - Lots of housework today,  then 2 Wonderful warrior stretches before bed
