Tuesday - Happy birthday Owen! AM Bike ride with Nancy at Quinn's Trail, 7 am - 6.65 miles, 530 elevation, Up Fast Pitch to Matt's Flat, then took a right on Sevently 101 to Porcuclimb, then to Nowhere Elks, then down the Rusty Shovel trial again, to Rambler then back to the car. It's a nice loop. PM bike ride with Corey at Guardsman Pass - we did not know what we were doing. Left Marriott at 7:30, arrived at Guardsman 7:46. It's 11:30 pm and we've been looking at the maps trying to figure out where we went and we think we got it - we somehow missed Scott's bypass and instead we hiked to the top of Jupiter Bowl, then and over toward Jupiter Peak until 8:08, Then backtrack for 8 minutes, 8:17 ended up going along Dead Tree Black Diamond trail, 8:32 - started 5 mile/43 minute ride from Apex down. Somewhere near Parley's Park junction with Sunnyside, Dynamite, and Prospector, we took a left on the dirt road to Thaynes Mine, then north from there along the ski trail then down Thaynes Canyon. We went on private property under three separate gates (we were losing light, it was life or death situation!) and ended up Snows Lane, finished at 9:15, 1 mile/8 minute ride from Snows Lane to Lowell Avenue, back at Marriott at 9:24 pm. We didn't die or get stuck on the mountain overnight, yay.

Wednesday - AM Bike Ride - Left at 6:27 am to do a little exploring and find the trail head to Armstrong, or wherever Corey said that he and Joseph had gone biking last year. Was back at the hotel at 7 to wait for Nancy. We took Silver Spur to Armstrong. The Armstrong climb was beautiful. Ended up at the King Con lift (where Corey and I were last night) then we took Armstrong a little further up, then Dawn's and over to the Spiro connector, then Spiro down and back to Silver Spur, back to the hotel. Stats according to Nancy's apple watch: total time - 2:10, Total distance 5.48, Elevation gain 739. 142.8 weight after we were back, yeehaw. Haven't been here since April 2020 before family pictures PM Bike ride - took Amrstrong up to HAM. So PRETTY!! It smelled so lovely I could die

Jul 19 - 24

Monday - Corner Canyon at 6am, took Clarks up, had to get off twice, explored a little bit along the Upper Corner Canyon Trail, then down Canyon Hollow, up Brock's Trail back to Peakview, then retraced that again but went down Corner Canyon until there were just so many bikers coming up that I decided to turn around instead of keeping pulling over, so I went back up to Brocks, then took Fly By Night to Rush the Trees and back down, did the little loop past Silica Pit and back down Rush one time, on my way home at 7:45

Tuesday - bike ride to CHRC, upper body workout, then biked back home, didn't have to get off the bike, good workout. My arm is almost healed. Upper body - BACK lat pulldown - 12x95, 10x105, 8x115, 6x125, 12x115  TRICEPS on Precor - 12x60, 10x70, 8x80, 6x90 12x80 SHOULDER upward row with barbells - 12x20, 10x30, 8x40, 6x50 12x40 CHEST - Pec Fly 12x50, 10x55, 8x60, 6x65, 12x60, I needed to head home and figured I could do my bicep curls at home, so finished off with RDL Bar plus 50 25x, 15x, 10x, 10x

Tuesday - morning bike ride, started at the Coyote Trail Head, took Clark's trail up to Peak View, then down and back to the Coyote Trail Head. I fell when the bike got a little stuck in a divot in the path and I went over the handlebar and felt like I was in baseball sliding into home base, but with my arm instead of my feet. I got a real good scratch all up my inner right arm.

How it looked after I scrubbed (ouch) it clean at home.

Wednesday - I didn't make it to the gym this morning, cause I didn't have my arm bandage ready to go upon waking and didn't then get to it cause it was a busy day. 10pm did an old workout in the basement - 3 rounds of the following:

  • 10 jump lunges
  • 20 Romanian Deadlifts 2/30
  • 100 calf raises pulses 2/30
  • 15x of lower than parallel squats with 1/30
  • 1 min center plank
Time of rounds: 3:23, 3:09, 3:13 - total time 9:45

Thursday - I was at Coyote Trail Head at 6 am, took Clark's trail up to Peak View and I only got off of my bike once! (stopped two other times to catch my breath but didn't get off my bike) Pretty good job, go me, I was proud of myself. By the time I was back at the bottom of the Rush trail it had only been an hour and I thought maybe I'd go do it all over again, but then no.... I don't want to bike up again. But I can do a little something, so I rode up the Coyote Hollow Trail, my first time on that, went past the Silica Pit and over .16 miles more which brought me back to the Rush trail, so I went back down, Did that loop two more times, total of three times, and was on my way home at 7:45. That little loop will be a good one to have the kids practice on, cause they'll learn to go uphill and also can get used to a rush trail's hills

I'm going biking again tomorrow with my little bro or maybe my sister in law, will be fun! Also, I'm not sore from last night, so will do 4 or 5 rounds next time.

Friday - Picked up Steph at 5:45, then at Corner Canyon with my sister in law until 7:45 biking and hiking. Fun! Hibberts are in town today - so we did street hockey at 10, swimming at 1, and soccer at the park at 6, pretty good workout at the soccer game, and sweaty all day just from being outside in this heat!

Saturday - Peter woke up with a fever and Corey was stick too, so I took P with me and we went to pick up Wes at EFY. P fell asleep in the car, Wes didn't want to come yet, so I pulled over and since P was still asleep I napped for 30 minutes. So far today I've done some handstands, a little biking with my brother and his kids at the Quarry Trail, good stuff. Might try to go to lift weights later or play racquetball if Corey is feeling better

Jul 5 -10

We were gone on a vacation to Lake Tahoe this week. We did a few bike rides, but nothing that was intense cause Owen and Peter were with us. That was it for workouts. I also ate too much because I turned to eating food mindlessly when I was feeling frazzled and restless.

Friday - drove home all day

Saturday - tried to do a little bit of both upper and lower today since I didn't do either at all this week.
