Sept 26 - Oct 2 (Daniel 1 week old)

Monday - 168.6 this morning. I was going to do my cardio when the kids got home from school, but ended up having to take the baby to the hospital instead. His bilirubin was 20 when he got tested today, up from 16 on Friday. So, here we are at the hospital. My angel is one week old, love him
Tuesday - Drove home at 3 am this morning to freshen up, weight was 166.6, I'm about ready to shout from the rooftops about Dr Fuhrman's book but shall try to keep my excitement on this blog here until people start asking me about what I'm doing, cause I think this is going to be pretty noticeable pretty quickly. ~ back at hospital at 4 am - Held a 2 minute center plank! Then 40 sec hand plank on each side.
10:30 - Baby's bilirubin is much better, down from 18 last night to 11 this morning. So we get to go home within an hour, yay! Going to get in some cardio today, maybe even an old bodyrock workout, as I'm ready and feel able to do more high impact stuff and push myself a little harder. :) (and get a little variety from my BFL workouts)
Weslo treadmill - 2 miles in 24:30
Wednesday - 164.4, awesome. 12 minutes of planks, did two minutes of the side planks on my hands for 30 seconds each, plus two minutes straight of center plank again in that set
Thursday - cardio at 6 pm, 2 miles in 23:45
Friday - no exercise, weight 163.0

Sept 19 - 25 (Daniel Born)

Monday - 39 weeks today, scheduled to be induced. Woke up shortly after 3 and couldn't fall back asleep. Finally got up at 3:45, got dressed and headed downstairs for some cardio on the treadmill from 4am - 4:50, 3 miles. Walked .25 mile (usually at a 3.3) speed, then jogged .25 at 4.5 speed for the whole 3 miles. Finished at 46:37. I did the last jog at 5.2, feeling good, hoping to head to the hospital in 2 hours! Weight after workout - 180.2
Tuesday - 7 minutes of planks - 1 min center, 30 sec each side on hand, 1 min yoga table, 1 min center, 30 sec each hand, 1 min table, 1 min center. Spent the day at hospital, the pediatrician wouldn't let the baby leave yet.
Wednesday - Baby got the ok to be discharged at 8 am, we were home at 9 am, yay! 3:20 - finished lower body for yesterday - calf raises, deadlifts with 20#, 25#, 30# for the rest, then squats with same weight, last 12 was walking lunges. Did 5 minutes of planks to finish off planks for yesterday. Then from 4-5 I did 3 miles. The Weslo treadmill is harder than the Norditrack. I did .75 miles in 9 min on the Norditrack, but the tread kept slipping when I jogged, so I switched to the Weslo and I could hardly run at all on that one. I probably gave it too much of an incline, but I can't change that without getting off and lifting it up and manually doing it so I just kept going. Took me 16 minutes to do 1 mile on that one and I was sweating big time. Finished off the rest of my 3 miles (had 1.25 left) on the Norditrack, 1.25 took me 16 minutes, so a total of 41 minutes to go 3 miles. I was able to jog for over half of it, much nicer to jog sans baby in the tummy! Took a "before" picture after my cardio - 175.8 lbs. but the internet keeps cutting out - there's a storm rolling in. I'll upload it later.
Thursday - Weight this morning 177.4. No workout. The older kids are busy on Thursdays after school, need to figure out when to get my workout in (cause I need their help!)
Friday - Weight 176.4. I doubled up to make up for yesterday - cranked through an upper body workout. For all of these I took a few breaks and shook out my muscles when they were maxed out. First - Chest - 60 push ups all on my toes! Back - 48 Reverse push ups, 12 mows alternated with 30 lbs. each arm. Triceps - 48 seated extensions with one 30 lb, 12 chair dips. Biceps - 48 standing curls with two 15 lbs, 12 hammer curls w/15 lbs. Shoulders - 48 seated press with two 15 lbs, 12 upward rows with two 15 lbs. Followed up the upper body with 20 minutes on the treadmill - did 1.5 miles in 20 min.
Saturday - 172.4! No workout, but ate like a champ again today. I started reading "Eat to Live" in the hospital and the scales have come off my eyes. Eating a ton of raw veggies and feeling really good.
Sunday - 170.2 :)

Sept 12 - 17 (38 weeks!!)

38 weeks - long as rhubarb
Monday - 38 weeks today! Hallelujah, we're almost there. Woke up at 4, laid in bed until 5, got ready, did 3 miles in 45 minutes, jogged some of the time, felt like I was having contractions 40% of the time, finished shortly after 6. Weight 181.0. Had my last doctor appointment at 9:15 (I haven't been in for six weeks, since Aug 1st) only a gain of 4 over the past 6 weeks. Scheduled to be induced next Monday, yay!!!
Tuesday - Owen woke up at 5, hence I didn't get my workout in during the morning, I'm not going to worry about getting it in later. I'm going to begin focusing on diet, Started reading "The End of Dieting" by Dr. Joel Fuhrman, he was on pbs last week. I bought lots of veggies yesterday at Costco. :) Trying to get mentally ready to start shedding the baby pounds.
Wednesday - 2 mile walk on treadmill in 36 minutes (6am - 6:40)
Thursday - nothing, I'm taking advantage of sleep this week
Friday - 12 minutes of planks at 11 am
Saturday - no workout, did a lot of cleaning though and washed Corey's car, less than 48 hours to go (hopefully!)

Sept 5 - 10 (37 weeks)

37 weeks - long as swiss chard

Monday - 37 weeks today. Happy Labor day, I wish I was in labor. Did 12 minutes of planks early this morning. Tonight finished off lower body with 60 reps of calf raises with two 30 lb dumbbells, 60 reps of deadlifts also with two 30 lbs.
Tuesday - 3 miles on the treadmill and finished up Lower body. Did 1.5 miles in 23:43, then went to wake up kids and did my quads as I made sure they got out of bed: static two stair climbs for 36 reps, then alternated 48 times up the stairs to finish off 24 reps for each leg. Then finished another 1.5 miles - total time: 45:45. The only bad thing about not being able to go fast is after 35 minutes I'm thinking I could have been done if I'd jogged. I did do a 12 minute pace (5mph) a little bit during it, but feeling pretty tight in my tummy, been having some contractions now and then.
Wednesday - got up early and finished upper body at 6:45.
bicep side curls - BFL 12, 12, 15, 20, 15, 15
back - reverse pull ups 60 reps
triceps - lying extensions with 2/15 lbs, 60 reps
chest - 60 push ups, progressively from knees fast to toes slow
shoulders - side and front raises with 2/8 lbs, 60 reps
Thursday - Owen woke up at 4 and was on and off again in his alertness. Needless to say it messed up my morning workout. aka it didn't happen. I tried to walk on the treadmill during the day when they were all awake. Had two minor interruptions plus had to change 2 poopy diapers in the first half mile. Next .75 were event free. Last .25 were near impossible and that's when I gave up on cardio. So 1.5 miles, then I thought I'd do some lower body instead. Was trying to do calf raises, Owen came over, lost his balance, hit his eye on the 25 pound weight, and that's when I officially gave up on all of it. Corey's flight arrives today at 2:15, yay! I'm feeling today like how I probably should have felt everyday he was gone, glad it wasn't like this every day.
Friday - I didn't workout today!!! I didn't get it done in the morning, tried when Owen went down for a nap, but after I got dressed he woke up so, remembering how it went yesterday with him tagging along, I gave up. It's the first time I haven't done anything since June 7th at 24 weeks. Not bad for a pregnant lady. Weighed myself tonight - 186. Looks like the cake from two birthdays this past week caught up with me.
Saturday -  I don't feel like working out anymore. Weight this morning 184.0. I'm feeling super pregnant, am having little contractions all the day, find myself wincing, looks like my pregnancy as superwoman "I even go jogging" is over. I did do 5 minutes of planks - 1 minute center, 30 secs on each side with a hand plank, then 1 min center again, side hand planks again, and one more center plank. So just 5 minutes, but it was something, and something is better than nothing. I'll try to do a little something every day next week and then on the 19th hopefully I'll be off to the hospital! One more week!!!!!!
