Jun 25 - 30 (10 weeks)

10 weeks - kumquat
Monday - Busy day getting Joseph ready to go
Tuesday - Said goodbye to Joseph at the airport. We told the kids we're expecting when we went out to lunch before we took him.
Wednesday - nothing, but moved a lot of furniture as we rearranged rooms
Thursday - nothing
Friday - nothing
Saturday - kicking it in gear (I hope!) It's 10:30 pm, did a 2 mile jog on the treadmill, 4 one minute sprints, 2 miles took me 26:22 mintues. Yay I broke a sweat. Going to go stretch now.

Jun 18 - 23

Monday - I am still freaking sore from Friday's workout! Usually if I do walking lunges I'll be sore for 1 day, but man, this is day 3 and they hurt just as bad as on Saturday. Next time I'm keeping Melissa's workout to 15 minutes. Or I'll atleast remember that if I do more than 20, there's a good chance I'll be hobbling around for the next 3 days. We stayed up late last night (1:30 am) talking with Joseph, it was fun, but we paid for it this morning. My Morning Routine is so off. Got thrown off during Newport and I haven't gotten it back on track yet. Doh
Tuesday - still sore, but almost not wincing as I go down stairs
Wednesday - still sore but bearable.
Thursday - still sore but I think I'll have recovered tomorrow. I haven't done jack this week exercise wise and I wish I could still get up for my morning walks in the mountains, but it will have to wait. For those who actually read all this type, I'll let you in on a secret that's not much of a secret cause I've been blabbing it to neighbors and my lady friends, but I'm taking magnesium again, if you're interested, feel free to click that link to figure out what that means. Oh I'll just say it, we're expecting again. Official announcement coming soon after we tell the kids some time in the next few days - I think Corey's said we can tell the kids before Joseph leaves, so that's on Tuesday. I'm sure the kids are already guessing though since I've been laying around and resting so much. Thankfully I'm not totally out of it dead, gracias to my magnesium again for pulling me through. Yeah, I don't feel great, but I'm not dead on the couch, so that's a win.
Friday - 12 minutes of planks in rotation in my closet - 3 rounds of 1 min each: center plank, left side, right side, and yoga table

Jun 11 - 16

Monday - I am off my game. The sun is up, but I'm hitting snooze, nooo.
Tuesday - Holly warm up, then did Melissa Ioja fit test. Here are my scores:
  1. Push ups - 18 toes, 10 knees
  2. Jump Squats - 38
  3. 4x4s (four high knees and four alt inside toe touches = 1) - 12
  4. Feet up then knee hugs (these were awkward for me) - 5
  5. lay down and knee drive - 18
  6. Jump Lunges - 34
  7. Burpees w/o push up - 11
  8. Forward touchdown backward touchdown - 14
  9. Elbow ups - 19
  10. Box jumps - 10
I'm going to try to do her 30 day challenge, so I'll come back here in 30-ish days to compare my score.
Wednesday - morning flow and five 30 second let downs
Thursday - no workout, but an very active day cleaning. Corey's birthday is tomorrow and he said he wanted a clean house (he wants a maid to come) so we kicked it in gear. The kids had the remains of a  big fort they built on Tuesday in the front room. The whole house was trashed though, looks much better now.
Friday - 10 let downs on the hour throughout the day starting at 7 am. Also at 8:00 I started Melissa Ioja workout Day 1 Survival of the Fittest. I did 10 rounds, took me over 30 minutes. Each round consisted of:
  • 5x of jump lunge right, jump lunge left, jump squat = 1 
  • 5x of left shoulder press, right shoulder press, both shoulders press, shoulder side raise = 1(I used 2/15 for the first 4 rounds, then 2/10 for the next 6 rounds)
  • 15x of lower than parallel squats with 1/30 lb
  • 3x of 3 wide bicep curls, 3 standard curls, 3 hammer curls = 1 
I did most of my rounds in about 3 minutes. Quickest round was 2:42, longest was 3:14. I'm sweaty! That hasn't happened for a while. Good workout.
Saturday - I. Can't. Walk. My arms are fine from yesterdays workouts, but my legs, oh boy. I did them a number yesterday. I didn't do anything today except try to walk up and down stairs trying to not grit my teeth.

Jun 4 - 9

Monday - Back after a week in California, I didn't exercise at all while we were gone other than a few morning flows. Although I did break my most steps record on the day we were at California Adventure. This morning when on a 60 min walk on the Little Cottonwood trail.
Tuesday - Jog with Hyrum at Dimple Dell, 40 minutes. Then did 60 reps of bicep swings with shoulder press, 2/15 lbs.
Wednesday - Walk with Wesley in the mountains, lovely morning. I got invisalign braces on today, it is recommended that I keep them in for 22 hours, so that means only 2 hours to eat during the day = no more mindless snacking or munching on whatever! I'm going to have to be very intentional with my food, which will be a pain kinda but I guess is a good thing!
Thursday - 30 minute walk this morning, got some lovely honeysuckle blossoms to smell today. I'm just getting back into the swing of things after our vacation, going to try to do resistance again today.
Friday -short hike in the mountains for date night, yay, we had a picnic by the river, it was great
Saturday - short walk to the church, that was it.
