Jul 31 - Aug 5

Monday - First day of riding at Park City! Corey and I left early at 6:30, did Armstrong up to MidMountain, took that east to Jenni's, then Loose Moose down and CMG to Base area. 13.08 miles, 2 hours 10 minutes. PRs on: Lower armstrong 13:13, Dawns to HAM 21:46, and 8 other emoji medals

Tuesday - Ride with Corey, Armstrong to HAM then Spiro down, Lower Armstrong time today 13:28 (2nd place) PR Dawns to HAM 19:30 - I got an achievement on 12 segments out of 13 total! Only one I didn't get was the Silverspur to Armstrong, but we are just catching our breath there, since you have to bike straight up the hill to get there. Stretching with Jordyn was fun.

Wednesday - Ride with Joseph and Corey - we all went up Jenni's 12.26 miles, 1 hour 54 minutes, 2075 elevation.
Joseph headed back at Loose Moose, Corey and I kept going up and we made it all the way to the Montage! It was so pretty and smelled so nice! I wanted to take the mountain back down, but Corey had to get to work (we started late) so we took the road down. 20 segments, 7 achievements, of which I got a few PRs compared to my time climbing Jenni's last year (like Jenni's to Loose Moose 2.68 miles in 32.46 (36 min twice last year)). Jordyn and I did more stretching today

Thursday - raining this morning, so we didn't make it out. Kids went to float the Provo River with Corey, I stayed at the hotel with Katharine, we took a walk to the park to release our last butterfly.

Friday - K has a fever but Corey let me go on a ride anyway, I went to HAM, 1 hour 22 min, 7.33 miles, 13 segments, 8 achievements - 2nd and 3rd places, it was muddy. Went to Jordamelle and I tried doing headstands on the paddleboards at Jordanelle! Ha, it was fun, Then Corey and I went on an evening ride - it was less muddy, 7.39 miles, 1 hour 12 min, PRs for Lower Armstrong 12:34 (almost a min faster than monday!) and Dawns to HAM 18:48

Saturday - Corey is sick and so is Katharine, so we didn't go on a ride today and we are back home now. I'm sad that we didn't do Scotty's Bypass and that we didn't take MidMountain down. I think I could go biking all day and not get tired of it. I'm wondering what is the purpose of life. I guess I am  sometimes a little satisfied after a ride, but if I could go longer I would. If I didn't have anything to come back to, I'd be out there all day. It's good I have a family to care for or I'd just recreate all day and probably lose my salvation.

Jul 24 - 29

Monday - Ride with Corey up to the ruins. 11.23, 1 hour 36 min, DH Quarry PR - 20:29, 2nd fastest time for Quarry up and down with techy 1:19:17. Corey's bike is still in the shop, so he hasn't been having much fun - Joseph's bike is too clanky. Corey joked that he's reached a certain level in his biking, in that he can tell the difference!

Tuesday - Ride with Corey up to the ruins. 11.26, 1 hour 31 min, Quarry up and down with Techy PR -  1:11:43. 2nd DH Quarry 2nd best time at 21:22. 3rd place for 1st bridge to top: 38:19 and 2nd bridge to top 24:30. Corey's hoping his bike is done today.

Wednesday - Morning hike with Relief Society sisters - Started at Bloods Trailhead, went to Jupiter peak and back, 3.85 miles, 1 hour 30 min. Did a headstand on the peak

Thursday - Fish tail with my silver bike, all road (didn't take the dirt trail double track after the approach hill), 24 min 22 sec, 2nd best PR for approach hill 4:54 (PR was 7/1/23 4:50) and 2nd best for church to Wasatch 2:02 (PR 5/25/23 1:58)

Friday - Ruins and Techy with Corey, 1 hour 34 min, 11.25 miles

Saturday - Corner Canyon by myself, Rush 2x, then Gasline Trail to Ghost Falls up, Ghost Falls down, connect to Rush, then did Rush the end, then did Rush the end 2 more times. Strava says I got 15 achievements yay. Started doing some of "The Core Play" program today

Jul 17 - 22

Monday - We stayed up too late last night (almost until midnight) so that resulted in a late morning. I left for a walk at 8:45, it was already very warm. 2.83 miles, 52 minutes. 10 pull ups throughout the day (I can only do 2 in a row :( I need to go climbing to get my strength back) 2 min hollow, 2 min superman

Tuesday - Ride with Corey to ruins plus techy on the way back. His bike is in the shop, so he rode Joseph's bike. It's tires tread is a little low. 11.20 miles, 1 hour 37 min. 3PRs, one for 3rd bridge to top, 15:14. 7pm - I just finished over an hour of stretching my legs! Thank you to my kids for this miracle of time - to Wes for taking NODP to the movie, and Mel for watching K

Wednesday - Ruins with Corey, 11.33 miles, 1 hour 37 min, PR on downhill quarry 21.44

Thursday - Ride with Trevor and Xela from Tony Grove to White Pine Lake, then Bunchgrass on the way down. 14.07 miles, 2 hours 27 minutes. Headstand at White Pine Lake, haha

On the way down, I fell (twice!) The first fall was a doozy on gravel, and the metal of my pedal totally gouged my shin. I had to take off my shoelace and tie it around my shin to try and keep pressure on it as we headed down the mountain for another hour.

Friday - Went to the Reserve gym with Trice, she was on the treadmill, I did 30 minutes of stretching. The yoga mat was super dingy and gross, like a sticky movie theater floor

Saturday -

Jul 10 - 15

Monday - Ride on the Big Mountain Trail at Snowbird!

11 miles according to Corey's strava (mine said 10.6, so I don't know what's going on with that...) 2171 elevation gained, 2 hours 10 min, hit a max elevation of 10069.

It was beautiful, a lot of work, and fun!

Hit snow a few times and had to walk

This wood walkway was a bit intimidating!

It was about 10 feet high over rocks and at the edge of a cliff

Tuesday - Riding and exploring Albion Basin today.
9.23 miles, 1713 ft elevation gain. 1 hour 48 min. Corey and I didn't even know that there was a campground up there) I followed Corey walking across a very icy patch of winter that was still on the trial. It was a bit scary! Glad we didn't die

Wednesday - Big Mountain Trail with Joseph. He hasn't been training for Olympics like Corey and me, so he went about 30 min and then called it good.
I went up to 10300 feet/3140 meters, almost to the top, the snow fields stopped me. 3.5 hour ride (even though Strava said 2 hours 40 min! Do we trust the mileage?...) Strava said 12.25, 2494 elevation gain. 14 achievements
So gorgeous! This below was where Corey and I made it to yesterday. It's fun being on top of the world!
Thursday - Hike by myself from 6-7 am, cause Corey was going to take the kids on a ride, because I was going to have them the rest of the day (had to go down for trumpet lesson) but when I got back at 7 C was still in bed, not feeling well, so instead of a morning ride, I took them on a hike again to Blackjack Waterfall, which I had just discovered.
It was steeper than I thought (I skipped the waterfall trail) but the kids did good, only 3 injuries (D fell and had a scratch, L got something stinging on her feet and O scuffed his knee too when we were almost back at the car).

Friday - Big Mountain with Corey. We made it to the top of Gadzoom, then turned around to come back, and then Corey's bike was ghost pedaling and he had to sit down and pedal the whole ride down! Wasn't able to coast or stand on his bike. That would totally throw me off. I had a fun ride back down though. Too bad for him to do all that work to get to the top and then not be able to enjoy the fun ride down. There was one steep hill that he tried to climb at the end near Little Cloud, he's worried that might be where he broke something, so we'll see.

Saturday - Checked out at Snowbird this morning. At 6pm I went to Draper temple for a session, then I went on a ride from 8:20-9:20. 6.2 miles in 59 minutes. I did Rush, then up and down Ghost Falls, then Rush down, and Rush The End 3x, it was so fun. My favorite part was on one of my 4 times doing Rush The End, listening to the chorus of Brand New by Ben Rector, "like I can fly!!!" and I was coming up to the big hill part "and I don't even think of touching the ground...." and the song kept going as I was doing the fun hills then "it's the way that I feel when I'm with you... (up to the top of the hill and...) BRAND NEW!" it was really fun and just perfect and I felt like a kid and was smiling and there was hardly any one else there! I came across 6 hikers, but no bikers. It was perfect and I loved it and sorry Corey for going without you (his bike is in the repair shop after Big Mountain yesterday). I timed a lap on Lower Rush before and it was 7-8 minutes, but according to Strava, I did two laps yesterday in 10:41, not bad!! :)

Jul 3 - 8

Monday - camping at Pineview, not a good nights sleep. We brought up our bikes to go on a ride, but didn't make it out - too tired. We'll get in a good one tomorrow.

Tuesday - Morning ride with Corey to the ruins, yay. 11.28 miles, 1 hour 37 min. 8 achievements: PRs for: quarry to mushroom land (37:29) LCC climb to 2nd bridge (24:08), 1st bridge to top (37:38). Silvers for UP Mile 2 (14:47) UP mile 3 (15:08) LCC Rd climb (8:55). A few good news: I did the board both times! On the way up and on the way back down, sweet. I also did the rocks (We'll call them "The Rocks") before the 2nd bridge today! Usually my head isn't in it - I think I've only done it one other time so far this spring/summer. I got geared up and as I approached I started yelling at myself "Come on! Come on!" and I did it, yay. It's been a while. On the way down, we did techy, I did the first rock pile AGAIN yay but not the 2nd, but almost. AND I went over the log for the first time ever, yay! On the way down we also did the techy part I explored with Peter and Katharine - Strava calls it Techgnar. And I did a part Corey usually does right before the 3rd bridge - he sits and does it with his seat down, I did it standing, it was fun. Ok, and then one bad part on the way down, right after the 2nd bridge, I fell on "The Rocks" - I was going down and maybe my shocks were too soft? Cause my wheel got stuck and I went over my handlebars. Good news: Corey was close behind me and helped me up out of the mud. Also good news: I didn't break anything on my body or my bike. And it was really good that I was wearing long sleeved shirts and pants. They didn't get holes, but they definitely protected my skin from many puncture wounds. I took a short walk up to the 2nd bridge to shake it out and get all the mud off of my hands. I was able to ride home fine but I was a bit shaky and I'm curious to see how bad my bruises will be tomorrow.  I feel very banged up. This is what hurts: my left outside ankle, left forearm, right front hip bone. left knee was the worst looking and that hurts.

Wednesday - rest day, 3 chin ups and some handstands

Thursday - ride with Corey, 11.28 miles, 1 hour 34 min. 1545 elevation. I got six 3rd place achievements. Did Techy 1, didn't fall, but did have one tip over. Was able to go up the Rocks again today, sweet, and did the board both times, yay, and did the first rock pile. At home, 2 min hollow and 2 min superman, handstand, headstand, I was a bit dizzy a few times last night when I got up to feed Katharine. I thought I might be lightheaded cause I had skipped dinner last night, but after eating today I've still been a bit dizzy a few times today when I get up. Making note here for myself to watch.

Friday - Hike to Gloria Falls with Stephani, MaryAnne, and Ashley. 2.59 miles, 1 hour 11 min

Saturday - Corner Canyon with Corey. 1 hour 15 min, 1263 elevation. Corey's strava said it was 8.5 miles, mine only said 7.5, but we did the same ride, so that was weird, Corey teased "Men are just better!" haha, we can do the same ride and he can get a mile more than me without even trying. We parked at Coyote Hollow, did Rush the End, then down Limelight, up the Gasline Trail, over to Rattler and Ghost Falls for the up, then down Ghost, Down Rush, and did Rush the end one more time. 37 segments, 23 achievements
