Boring blog where I log my workouts for myself, with some self inspiration and motivation now and then too.
Monday - Bouldering at 6am. Did 30:
Monday - 6:20 am Top rope with Corey:
Monday - 20 handstands, 10 each foot forward. I'm doing better at holding it without the wall, and today I also tried to hold it on one hand (left), haha, did it for like .08 of a second
Monday - 3pm ride up to the ruins after Abi and Lily got home. 11.24 miles, 1 hour 43 min, 1523 elevation gain.
Monday - I fasted on Friday for my neighbor's baby, up until date night, then started again. Did a full fast Saturday and Sunday, only drank a little bit of lemon water at the end of the day. So this morning I just went on a slow walk, and hallelujah I also reached my weight goal. They are hoping to know more about the baby in the next 48 hours, so I'm going to try to keep fasting most of the day, might have one meal, but haven't had it yet (as of 8 am)
Monday - Weather was 60 today, and forecast says there will be snow tomorrow. So... we took another "last ride" today. 15.68 miles, 1781 elevation gain. Took us 2 hours 10 minutes. We did a repeat of our Saturday ride, parking a bit before the tollbooth, riding up to the Rattlesnake Gulch trailhead, up the switchbacks to the Pipeline trail. Today we took it west to the peak at the beginning of the canyon, then turned around and rode it all the way east until we got to the elbow! It was a serious climb. Here we are at the elbow, with sunset upon us, and so we've just got 10-20 minutes to make it back to the car before dark. Luckily that's pretty easy via the road.
Let's keep it under 30 mph, allright? I was surprised to see the road was not plowed. We were riding in a winter wonderland! We were glad the trail e climbed up on the north side of the mountain wasn't snow covered like this. But it felt kinda hardcore, so it was fun. We didn't slip and slide.Monday - chin up, pull up, handstands
Monday - 4pm Ride to ruins after Natalie got home. Will prob be the only ride this week, might be the last one of the season? Home > ruins > Techy > Trailhead. I rode from home, Corey met me at the trailhead. 1 hour 30 min, 9.29 miles, also did 20 min stretching at the trailhead while I waited for him. At home: 1 chin up, 1 pull up
Monday - Corey took a lunchtime ride up LCC, I drove Owen up to meet him on his descent. Daniel, Peter and Katharine and I did a little nature walk at 2:30, over a mile. Then at 5:30 I did a ride from Grit Mill to Ruins then Techy. 5.81 miles, 1 hour 22 seconds. Next time I'll try to do it in less than an hour.
Monday - Walk from my parents house to our home. 4.5 miles, 1 hour 20 minutes, almost 10k steps!
Monday - 10am 4 mile walk with Katharine in a stroller. 1 hour 18 min.
Monday - Loving the autumn colors. Didn't have violin today, so took a long ride in Corner Canyon - 15.91 miles, 2 hours 23 min. BST > Ann's West > Maple Hollow > Vertigo > Eagle Crest > Rush
Monday - Ride up LCC after violin (at violin right now, so that's the plan) Grounding - check, 25 min raking in the back yard and planting starter pines in a little garden. Stretching - still need to do. Want to get back in the habit of doing it every day for 15 minutes. Actually I'm going to try and stretch for a few min while we're still here at violin...
Monday - took the day off to let my saddle sore heal. Corey took the bikes in to be fixed, mine was super noisy
Monday - Up at the crack of dawn for a ride. I left while Corey was still in bed, cause I wanted to get back to get kids off to school. From home to Techy and back. 10.87 miles, 1 hour 29 min. I met Corey coming up with Katharine and took her from him during the "Power plant down" segment so he could finish his ride kid-free. She's so cute.
Left at 6:30, back at 8. Sunrise at 7:03. Almost never get achievements, but we've done this ride so many times that that's expected.
Monday - Rode the WOW trail in Midway. 20.21 miles, 2890 feet, 3 HOURS and 32 minutes IN THE SUN. I wasn't expecting the parking to be $10. Next time we'll go to Park City. But I'm glad we did this and checked it off. We started waaaay too late though - 10:30 by the time we were on the trail. I was dying in my long sleeved BLACK shirt. We didn't bring enough water for the 2+ hour climb. Still trying to smile though. Took a BeReal.
Corey's wearing a shirt his sister got for him, kinda goofy. I was thinking about water for most of the climb. We brought 3 small bottles but it was not enough for such a long climb in the sun. I missed the Little Cottonwood creek - if we were by there I could pause and get a drink, or I'd have been in shade and wouldn't be suffering like I was! I was praying to come across a stream. We came across a plastic water bottle that had a hole it in but was mostly full, I gratefully drank it and was able to continue on. Up near the top (2485 meters) we did come across a little cool stream and I drank and drank. Hooray for living water! (and hopefully we don't get giardia...) It was a matter of life and death, er... extreme thirst and dehydration.Monday - Corey not feeling well, so ride by myself, from trailhead to techy - and back. 1 hour 2 min, 6.32 miles. Fell on the first rock pile of techy. Lodged my front wheel in a rock, and then my right foot got held on my pedal by another rock and so I fell to my right but couldn't catch myself. No scrapes, but I'm sure I'll have lots of bruises tomorrow. Watched this Pacific Rim video (I told Corey several months ago that I want to sign up when I'm 50 years old, or earlier if/when funds allow)
Physical and mental training. Right before bed did a few chin ups, pull ups, and then a hang-on-as-long-as-you-can
