May 29 - Jun 3

Monday - Up the Quarry trail and explored other areas today. total 14.23 miles, 1873 elevation. 2 hours 13 minutes. Also got a two week pass to Momentum, yay! I went today and did 20 climbs, it was great. 

Tuesday - Bike ride on the trail up to the Lisa Falls parking lot, then I took the road up to Maybird avalanche area. I was going to try to go to Snowbird, but when I saw it was 3 more miles I decided against it. I'll wait for when Corey is back. 

Wednesday - 

Thursday - climb this morning, walk this evening with Peter and Katharine. Katharine was checking out how nature tastes.
Hmm, do you think they could survive on their own out in the big bad world?
I was nervous with Peter throwing rocks into the raging river. Kept me on my toes. 
We explored a little trail I found yesterday to see if it's bikeable. I think Corey and I could maybe do it? Hmm.

Friday - Ride this morning. 1 hour 49 min, 11.48 miles, PR on Fastest section alive 4:42, LC Descent Lower half - 6:49, and Coalpit area 1:57. Also 3rd place for Pow Plant down 2:19. Took my sweet time on the way up and chilled for a bit by the river. Did the techy section. I also tried the trail on my bike that Peter and I explored yesterday and now I don't think Corey and I should do it. I mean we could, it just wouldn't be very fun, cause you can't go fast and there's not a lot of room for error.

May 22 - 27

Monday - Bike ride to the top of the quarry trail.11.25 miles, moving time 1:39:53, 1507 elevation. I got 14 medals, yay. A PR of Quarry up and down with Techy 1:22:19, and temple quarry to mushroom land 41:10 and Power plant down 2:16 :) I did the avalanche area well (which I've done pretty consistently), and I did the under the branch part before the 2nd bridge! AND I did the big pipe after the 3rd bridge! That's the first time I've ever done that problem! 

Tuesday - Had to take Lily to jazz band this morning, so didn't make it on the ride with Corey. Did 4 pull ups, two 60 sec handstands, headstand for 1 min, hollow for 2 min

Wednesday - Ride with Corey, 11.05 miles, 1 hour 31 min! I did the big pipe again, my second time, cool. 13 achievements - PR/Gold: out and back 1:07:16, quarry to mushroom land 40:57, 1st bridge to top 39:16, 3rd bridge to top 16:52, LCC Speed 13:37, Fastest section alive 5:06, Pow plant down 2:11, plus others for areas I don't really know where they are - 5 gold, one silver for coalpit area, one bronze UP mile 2? 

Thursday - Ride with Corey to 3rd bridge. I was able to drove over the big pipe again! I know how to do it now, yay. Low gear, low seat, and go fast. Today 9.56 miles, 1 hour 15 min. PR for power plant to 2nd river crossing and back to Power plant, 39:39. And 3rd fastest time for LC Descent, lower half, 8:07. Also did the fish tail tonight with my silver bike from last year. I wanted to see if I could go faster since that has 3 gears, and I DID - Got a PR for church to Wasatch of.... 1:58! I was pushing hard, standing up the whole time, I was breathing super hard and kinda have a sore throat now. I also got a PR for the approach hill!! 4:58, woot go me! I'm not going to try and beat those times again until the season has ended and we're doing our final rides in the fall, after a full summer of conditioning. 

Friday - I felt like I needed a break today, so Corey went for a ride (went up to SNOWBIRD!) and I went for a walk. I hiked up Bell Canyon reservoir, it was so pretty! 



Saturday - no ride. Was going to go on an evening ride, but I spent 12 hours in the car instead, drove CMALSN to Las Vegas and then back home, arrived 3 am on Sunday morning.

May 15 - 20

Monday - We had to walk a few times over the snow, but we perservered and Corey and I made it to the top of the quarry trail this morning!

I had a terrible night with Katharine (crying from 3-4:30) so I was ready for that night to be over, so I got up right away and told Corey I was going - we left earlier at 6:20, total time 1 hour 40 min, 11.22 miles, 1500 elevation. I got another PR on the climb to the 2nd bridge! 26:05, also PR on Mile 2 - 15:22. I got a total of 11 achievements, lots of 2nd fastest times. Good stuff. Then 3 min cold shower, 2 min hollow, 2 min superman, 60 sec hang, pull up, chin up, worked on headstands and held two 35 second handstands. Watched this Pacific Rim video on shoulder strength - good stuff.

Tuesday - Left at 6:53 this morning, we only went up to the 3rd bridge today then headed back (didn't want to walk over the rocky waterfall place). 9.53 distance, 1:16, elevation 1178. I got 8 achievements this morning, gold silver and bronze - like a gold/PR in the coalpit area (I don't even really know where that is...) and a gold/PR in the Fastest Section Alive, and I do think I know where that is (cause it's downhill and fast!) got a 5.17 on that mile of trail. I was able to get my legs up straight as I did a headstand and held it for a minute! And a 2 min hang on the pull up bar.

Wednesday - I did the fish tail plus some stretching, aaand I got a PR on the approach hill! 5:20 woo-hoo. 6.23 miles, 31:45

Thursday - Rode past 3rd bridge today and then I headed back, Corey went all the way to the top. I got a PR for the coalpit area descent and silver for the fastest section alive 5:24. PR for up and back from Power Plant to 2nd river crossing and back to Power plant - 39:59. Handstands and headstands, Did monkey bars at Daniel's soccer practice, I did good but got a flapper on my left hand near the end, so then I was done. 

Friday - LCC to top with Corey, 1550 elevation 1 hour 35 min, 11.10 miles, AND 10 achievements (Strava is so nice to always try and find some way to award you!) I gold Gold Silver and Bronze today, Gold for: Out n back 1:13:35, 1st brige to top 41:49, Pow Plant down 2:22, LCC Descent Upper half, Silver for: Temple quarry to Mushroom land. Anyway, it was good, super wet still, the streams run right on the trail so we get all wet and dirty.

May 8 - 13

Monday - Biking with Corey, the avalanche has been somewhat cleared, so we were able to go past that and almost reached the 2nd bridge before the snow stopped us. 8.25 miles, 1 hour 4 minutes. Monkey bars while I waited for Owen at his soccer practice. It was lightly raining though, so I couldn't hold onto the bars and kept slipping. I tried a dozen times, but never made it all the way across. I did give my hands a workout though, and I did 26 pull ups today (5 at a time throughout the day, then one more on the monkey bars)

Tuesday - Ride with Corey, 8.53 miles, 70 minutes. We rode up past the 2nd bridge, but not much further than that. We did, however, ride almost the whole way down! If you lower your seat (via dropper post) and put your legs out to each side (like a kid going down a steep hill on a big wheel tricycle) then you can keep it steering straight even through the snow. I did have to walk it just on one part of the avalanche remains. Pretty fun.

Wednesday - Ride with Joseph to the 2nd bridge, 8.39 miles, 58 minutes. Check this out: 5 achievements today! Got a Personal BEST on the climb to the 2nd bridge - 27:19! Beating my Oct best of 28 minutes - and THAT was when I was at the end of the season! And we're just at the start of the season! This is gonna be a fun summer. Also 2nd best time to the 1st bridge, oh yeah. I was behind Joseph the whole time though - he was waiting for me. I'm sure he would have gotten 25 min if he was by himself.

Thursday - 8.96 miles, 1 hour 8 min. I was telling Corey this morning how Joseph and I were cooking it yesterday, and then today we beat that time from yesterday - NEW Personal Best on the climb to 2nd bridge - 27:10, oh yeah. A few other PRs but I don't really know what those sections are, except for the Pow Plant Down, PR there of 2:35. Monkey bars tonight at Daniel's soccer practice, pretty fun. I miss climbing though

Friday - Morning ride, taking our time (I've gone every day this week and needed a slow day) 9.17 miles, 1 hour 14 min. Went a little further, there is almost a snow free trail through, next week I'm sure we'll make it to the 3rd bridge.

Saturday - Morning walk to DD and Sunrise Point, 2.88 miles, 1 hour, plus handstands, pull ups, hollow, superman, cold shower = all the usuals

May 1 - 6

Monday - Biking with Corey then monkey bars at night with Sophi, pull ups during the day

Tuesday - biking with Corey in the morning, snuck out to do the fish tail at sunset, pull ups

Wednesday - biking after taking Lily. Corey had already headed up. We both rode past the snow at the bridge and were able to get up pretty far! Up to where the avalanche'd trees were blocking the path. So nice to be back in the trees. 7.73 miles, 59 minutes.

Thursday - monkey bars at Daniel's soccer practice. then evening walk at Corner Canyon up Ann's connector trail, rainy. Hikes 2.5 miles. 35 minutes.

Friday - Ride with Corey, we went to the third bridge. WE CLIMBED OVER THE AVALANCHE which I thought was really stupid but I was following Corey. The trail was mostly snowy after that, so I'm not interested in doing that again until the snow melts. But it was an adventure and I'm glad we didn't die in a mudslide or anything. 9.88 miles, 1 hour 23 min.

Saturday - 7:20 am - to avalanche and back, 7.75 miles, 56 minutes, I got a PR on the power plant down section - time of 2:38. Then 2 min hollow and 2 min superman at home and two handstands
