May 6 - 11

Monday - It snowed yesterday and it's not going to warm up at all until Friday (67°) and Saturday (71°) so we might be out of biking for a few days, boo. Corey and I went climbing this morning tho, Did top rope most of the time, then I did two quick boulders - I went first today, did two back to back, they were easy but I was spent after doing two in a row! Then Corey did two too -

  • T Red 5.8, purple 5.9
  • C Red 5.8, purple 5.9
  • T green 5.10c, had to hold onto purple at the top, hard! Corey rested twice then he was done, got half way
  • TC yellow 5.10a
  • TC green 5.10a
  • Black V3
  • White V4
Also practiced L sit a little bit, stretched for an hour, and did a 6 min core exercise from fb video (can't find it now), 45 sec on 15 sec off of: reverse plank hold, knees up in reverse plank hold, switch legs, L march, elbow plank hold, pike to plank on elbows

Tuesday - Bouldering at 2:00 by myself, did 30:
  • 2 V4s - white one on south boulder
  • 4 V3 sends - 2 Black on South Boulder, Red, new White one on North Boulder
  • 2 V3 attempts - Black and Orange by each other on East side of North Boulder
  • 10 V2 sends
  • 6 V1s
  • 6 V0s
1 hour stretching while I read, 10 handstands

Wednesday - 30 min stretching, bike ride with Corey and Katharine but we only made it through the warm up (road to trailhead) before she fell asleep, so then we did our cooldown (trailhead to home) and Corey said he was done, I drove to the trailhead and rode up past avalanche hill, after that there was too much snow from the storm Sunday and Monday. So two rides: CTK 4.04 miles in 26 minutes, then by myself 3.49 miles, 34 minutes. Did some headstands tonight, plus this quick calisthenics beginner workout. I'm going to learn how to do an L-sit!

Thursday - Quick climbing session with Corey after we took Skyline carpool -
  • C Red 5.8, purple 5.9
  • T Red 5.8, purple 5.9
  • CT 5.10a black
  • CT 5.10b red, then it was 8:00 so we had to be done, but I hurried and did a few boulder problems to try and top it off
  • black V3
  • white V4
  • red V3
15 min stretching, headstand and handstands, 20 push ups on toes. I just looked up the Fit Test I did last Aug, I got 30 then, doh, gotta work harder! Tried again and got 16. 45 second handstand.

Friday - 2:30 pm ride up LCC, made it to 3rd bridge before the snow stopped me. Had to climb over two trees! Also did dirty sprint before coming back home.

11.54 miles, 1 hour 25 minutes. Talked with Nicole during the bike climb and during 30 min of stretching this morning. My front splits on both sides are now the distance of yoga block from the ground (from the thinnest part of the yoga block). Stretching hurts. I've been doing it for over two months now! Making some progress. Also this morning (well, around noon) did this Cirque du Soleil ab workout - got 4 min in and then Katharine rescued me by having me change her poopy diaper, then finished last 90 seconds, woo! I have room to improve on my form. 4:40pm did 28 pushups before my knee tapped out.

Saturday - stretching, handstand and headstand. Bike ride with Corey and Rob at 4:!5pm, 7.49 miles in 1 hour 6 minutes. Started at Bike Park, climb up Canyon Hollow and Brocks to the Peakview parking lot, then Rush down and Limelight. 36 achievements! I was pushing hard on Brocks so I was glad to see a PR for that - .38 miles in 4:28 (hey! That's my birthday!) PR on that last week was 4:44. PR for Full Rush DH Official (not via "rush the trees") 2.04 miles, 9:30. PR on Mystic Rhythms - .75 mil 3:41 (16 efforts on that, got 3rd place on that last week 5/4 3:56, 5/1 3:55), previous PR was Nov 1 at 3:53). Limelight was fun, I guess I could get used to riding that. I did 3 loops on the bike park beginner/intermediate track, which I think is called "Like a Boss". I got a little bit of air a few times today on the bike park loop and on a few parts of rush, but just a baby little bit of air, I'm still a beginner!
