Dec 15 - 20

Monday - Ride and hike to ruins on silver bike, which is not great. I parked it before avalanche hill then hiked the rest up and jogged down via techy, kept strava on biking even though I was hiking. I would have had to hike a lot of it anyway, lots of icy areas (no slush). A bobcat crossed the trail in front of me on the climb! 11.24 miles, 1 hour 51 min total, 1 hour 5 min to ruins. I got more Local Legends, oh yeah - 2 new ones for today in bold, and the rest are my other Local legend for ALL athletes: UP Mile 2 (26), Little Cottonwood Canyon Road Climb (26), LCC trail w/cool loop on descent (20), temple quarry to mushroom land (24), DH Quarry (21), bird is the word (23), Techy (22), Little Cott Descent Lower half (23) woot! I still have it for all the other segements for women. I'm watching to make sure I keep it though the end of 2025 then I'm content to hang up my laurels if need be.

Ride to Burt Bros to pick up the van 2.61 miles in 10 minutes

Walk downtown at Temple Square to see the lights, 1.78 miles in 45 minutes

Tuesday - 15 min rebounding stuff

Wednesday - 8am 30 min jump rope and shuffle, stretch

2pm top rope with Corey

Dec 8 - 13

Monday - 6:30 am in basement - rebounding and trunk twists, then this workout (I sent this to Wes for him to do too) a repeat workout from 2013:

  • 60 push ups
  • 100 mountain climbers
  • 60 love bends (10 left then 10 right alternating with dumbbell in each hand)
  • 100 mountain climbers 
  • 60 one leg push-ups ... do on knees if needed
  • 100 mountain climbers 
  • 60 back lunges
  • 100 mountain climbers 
  • 60 squat forward kick alternating
  • 100 mountain climbers

Tuesday - Jordan River Temple at 5, then little bit of stuff and bouldering at 6:
Warm up -
100 rebound jumps
100 trunk twists 

Then 4 min of
10 body weight squats
10 big arm circles
10 overhead reaches
10 small shoulder circles
Repeat for 4 min

Then Kids area R>L and L>R then a few V2s sent and V3 attempts
Back at home, 10 min on treadmill with walking and 3 30 second sprints, cause this guy on youtube says it is anti-aging. :)

then sauna for 30 min.

Wednesday - 3:30 pm ride to Lisa and back, silver bike, 56 degrees at home when started, 51 when done, 10.16 miles, 1 hour 26 minutes. Snow wasn't bad for most of the trail, but at Lisa was too much and too slick, so turned around. 

Thursday - 1:30 pom - Abi was home so Corey and I went on a ride. Almost to 3rd bridge but I didn't want to go any more, back was hurting a little (I don't love the silver bike). 9.07 miles, 1 hour 7 min. 58 degrees. I got the coalpit Local legend, that's all of them!

Friday - 25 handstands against wall and 5 min V stretch against wall

Saturday - 8:15 am top rope at Ft Union Momentum
  • South wall
  • 1- Pink 5.10c
  • 2- blue 5.10b
  • 3- red 5.10b
  • 4- blue 5.10c
  • 5- NE red 5.10d 2/3 rests on same spot half way
  • 6- NW green 5.10c
  • 7- NW pink 5.11b got over half way then impossible, switched to purple
  • 8- NW pink 5.11a only one rest!!! No cheats, woo!
  • 9- NE pink 5.10d
  • 10- NE blue 5.10d
Then one pink V2 boulder, then hanging one that is kinda hard, I hit my knee!!

At home, did three 30 seconds sprints on treadmill, stretching

Dec 1 - 6

Tuesday - 6:15 am bouldering after temple, did a little bit of lymphatic stuff, sent Wes a workout, then .25 mile treadmill

  • Center west blue V2 nice
  • West pink V1 so freaking hard
Gotta head home, gave my palms a decent workout for 30+ min

Wednesday - 6 am - basement workout: 55 minutes, rebounding/dancing for 20, Melissa Ioja Fit Test - 
...then Trevors Instinct for 7 min. 
10:30 am - V stretch on floor using bathroom doors, I was able to touch both door frames strongly with my heels! Then followed along with this face coach video and this 1 min video to prevent wrinkles

Thursday - 1:37 pm ride to ruins, 11.02 miles, 1 hour 46 min. I got 2 local legends:
1st bridge to top & 3rd bridge to top. I'm one effort away from a few more, so I might try and do a ride again tomorrow before the winter storm comes in this weekend.

Friday - 6:10 am bouldering at Millcreek, 24 total, 18 sent, 6 attempts. Still working on that overhang Purple V3 in the OG sector.

1:30 pm ride to ruins, 38 degrees. 11.03 miles, 1 hour 55 min. 
I have done this route 22 times in the past 90 days.
I got 8 local legends!
  1. LCC Trail Climb to 2nd bridge
  2. Little C 1st Bridge
  3. Temple Quarry to Mushroomland
  4. UP! Mile 2
  5. UP! Mile 3
  6. Fastest Section Alive

And I still have it for Red Church to Wasatch, Little Cottonwood, LCC Trail ONB w/Cool Loop on Descent1st bridge to top (got yesterday), 3rd Bridge to top (got yesterday), bird is the word, (1 more and I'll bump Aydan Moore and will take it for all athletes), DH Quarry, Techy, 

Need Little Cottonwood Road Climb - Leigh Low has 22 efforts, Strava says I need 1 more, and for Coalpit Area it says I need 3 more, weird... strava must cut out on those parts and not get reception cause I've done that every time I've done the other sections, which is 22 times.

  • 3- NE pink 5.10d got it! Fun
  • 4- NE yellow 5.10c one rest, felt hard

  • 6- NW pink 5.11a woo! 1 rest but no cheats!
  • 7- NW blue 5.10d 2 or 3 rest no cheats
  • 8- NW red 5.10d 2 or 3 rests no cheats, hard
