June 12 - 17

Monday - Ride with Corey up to the ruins. 11.21 miles, 1 hour 37 min. My dropper post is broken, it's stuck in the "move" position, so it always goes up, unless I'm sitting on it, which kinda messes me up when I'm going downhill. Two cool things - Corey and I both rode across the board! I didn't fall in! Yay! Got 3 PRs - Quarry up and down with Techy 6.41 miles in 1:18, and I was excited to get another PR on the Fastest section alive 4:16!!

Tuesday - Corey felt sick last night and a little weak this morning, but we still took a ride up the canyon, just went to the 3rd bridge. It was also cloudy this morning, so we slept in a bit on accident. I took my old bike, cause of my dropper post issue, and I love that it has 3 speeds, so I was able to go quite a bit faster than Corey (but he was also sick) but I kept waiting for him on the way up. And he was waiting for me on the way down, cause I didn't have shocks and it was really rough. I truly missed my new bike's shocks on the ride down. So Corey was waiting for me on the downhill. BUT, with my triple speed gears, I planned to push hard on the way home, which I always try to do but I can't beat my time. TODAY I did. I got one PR on LCC to Wasatch: 1.2 miles in 2:49 woot woot!

Wednesday - Corey and I tried a new trail today - drove to Hidden Valley and found the BST trail, rode it to Corner Canyon, took the Gasline Trail and Rattler then back to Hidden Valley. According to Strava there were apparently 16 segments of our ride, went 8.52 miles in 1:22 and my dropper post is being so stupid it made me almost want to cry with frustration.

Thursday - Happy Birthday Corey!! Corey got my bike tuned and fixed yesterday evening, so dropper post problem is solved, yay. Ride to the ruins this morning for the b-day boy. Water on the trail was mostly gone, finally, so that was nice to not get as muddy. We made it back home in 90 minutes, so that was a pretty good time. PRs for the 1) coalpit area 1:51 (I still don't know where that is) 2) ELLCEECEE speed 11:20, 3) LC Descent upper half 6:29 and 4) Top to 3rd bridge. Silver medals for: Out N back 6.27 miles 1:09:11, Fastest section alive 4:18, LC Descent lower half 6:47

Friday - Hike up Fergueson Canyon, it was so pretty and fun! Very shaded trail. We were headed up the trail at 6:15 am, turned around to come home at 7, it was good. 2.5 miles. Went up again with my kids for a picnic this afternoon, 35 min up to get to a spot we got to in 20. Things are slower with kids, but it was good.

 

Saturday - stayed up too late last night, so I was up at 5 am today but we didn't do a ride cause I was waiting for Corey to get up. Then was dressed and ready to go in the evening but got a call from my SIL so I went to visit my MIL in the rehab center, she's not doing well 💔
