March 16 - 21

Monday - 7am 20 min treadmill at home, tried to do a BFL cardio session. 1.17 miles, walk and jog with four 30 second sprints.

Tuesday - 2:40 pm Clarks and Rush after initiatories at the Draper temple. 4.76 miles, 43 minutes, 844 elevation

Wednesday - 3:30 pm ride to the ruins from home, trail was clear up unil the 2nd bridge, then there were some patches of snow across the trail, slushy and slippery but I was able to get to the top. HAB at the very top. Lisa rocks were clear though and I GOT THEM today, yay!!! 11.20 miles, 1 hour 47 minutes. I got the Local Legend for all athletes for Rocky Tech Alt DH route. 

Thursday - First session at CHRC, with Corey. Weights (leg raises, chest fly, lat pull, RDL) then some laps in the pool, and 15 min sauna

Friday - Corey went on a ride this morning. I wasn't feeling it, plus had to get the boys off to school, so I just went on a walk, 2.5 miles in 44 minutes. Also at 9pm I did 12 minutes of planks, which I'm pretty sure I haven't done for a few years! and 60 second handstand against wall.

Saturday - Quick ride up Clarks before the sunset, Rush down with one extra lap on Rush the end.

March 9 - 14

Monday - 6pm walk to Sunrise Point, 2.37 miles, 45 minutes

Tuesday - 5:15 pm Ft Union Bouldering, I got the center east hard blue V3 for the first time! 

Wednesday - some raking in the backyard, handstand, stretching

Thursday - top rope this morning with Corey:

  • 1 -NE Pink 5.10b
  • 2- NE black 5.10a
  • 3- South center 5.10d got it but last crimp hold with just one hand
  • 4- South center purple 5.10b
  • 5- south pink 5.11a 1 rest 1 cheat
  • 6- south purple 5.10c GOT IT
  • 7- south yellow 5.11a 2 rests no cheats
  • 8- SW yellow 5.10d

We decided to cancel our membership for a bit, so we have this week through Saturday and then we're taking a break and going to join the Cottonwood Heights Rec Center. We'll take the kids swimming this summer, play some racquetball and lift weights and stuff, and will still have a sauna there, yay.

Friday - 7am bouldering at Millcreek, 50 minutes, then date night ride in Corner Canyon - Anns and Rush Trees, 6.98 miles, 57 minutes, 908 elevation

Saturday - Last top rope session, so we did 11! (Most we've ever done before was 10) Went to Fort Union:

  • 1 - NE pink 5.10b
  • 2- NE Black 5.10a
  • 3- NE Green 11b 1/3? Way purple 5.10b
  • 4- NE South black 5.10d
  • 5- NE Orange 5.11c half way then switched to purple 5.10b
  • 6- SE yellow 5.11a/pink 11c
  • 7- SE purple 5.10b HARD but I got it, almost fell
  • 8- SOUTH WALL green 10c
  • 9- SOUTH WALL pink 5.11a 2 rests 1 cheat
  • 10- NW purple 5.10d got it!
  • 11- NW green 5.10c got it

Mar 2 - 7

Monday - 5pm - 45 min of stretching

Tuesday - 1pm - 45 min stretching. (really hoping I'm expecting, taking it easy until I take a test, would be Nov 9, induced Nov 2)

4pm - Millcreek toprope with Corey:

  • 2- roof steps black 5.10c
  • 3- step roofs green 5.10c
  • 4- step roofs blue 5.10d 2 cheats 2 rests
  • 5- crack walk blue 5.11a 3 or 4 rests but no cheats
  • 6- crack wall pink 5.10d mucho cheating
  • 7&8 - black 5.10d 1 rest pink 5.10a I was DYING but I got it

Wednesday - sunset walk to sunrise point. 

Neg test at 4:28 this morning, drat

Thursday - 1:45 pm Top rope at Millcreek:

  • 2- NW lavender 5.10d new
  • 3- NW yellow 5.10ab new
  • 4- NW roof steps orange 5.10c
  • 5- NW Toprope black 5.11a 2rests no cheat
  • 6- NW roof steps red 5.11b only made it 1/3 of the way, tried 4 times then I gave up
  • 7- NW roof steps green 5.10c
  • 8- NW roof steps blue 5.10d 1 rest 1 chest
  • 9- NW roof steps black 5.10c

Friday - nothing

Saturday - skiing with the fam at Park City. I was with Peter most of the time, so pretty chill skiing. 17 runs, 9251 vertical feet, 23.94 miles.
