April 22 - 27

Monday - Morning ride up LCC with Corey, we almost made it to the ruins, some un-biked-on snow stopped us. Probably will be rideable in another week or two. No achievements - 10.98 miles, 1:38:04 time, 1496 elevation gain (Corey got 10.96 in 1:39:42, 1492 elevation gain just had to make sure it's documented that I was faster and went further atleast one time this season, he'll be leaving me in the dust soon). RS meeting right when I got home, then ride with Katharine and Peter in the trailer after my RS meeting 3.72 miles, 35 minutes

Tuesday - Corey and I went climbing this morning (Hyrum took carpool for me) - we did top rope the whole time. We did 5 climbs, the same ones, Corey first then me except for the last one, I did the last one first and then Corey and then we were done.
  1. Purple 5.10a South Toprope - looked easy at first, I thought it would be a good warm up. Once Corey was up there it looked a little scary, like the holds were too far apart, but it was ok once I was on the wall - was able to send it
  2. next we figured we better try a 5.10c, if we were going to do one at all, before we got spent. So we did a Green 5.10c on the East Buttress (wall on the corner where you can see all the boulders). I was able to send it and not cheat and not have to take a break!
  3. Then a Hot Pink 5.10b right next to the green. That one was good too! Sent it
  4. We thought we'd cool down with an easy, so we did a Yellow 5.10a on the Back TR Sector. Easy, good!
  5. I felt like I had a little more in me and wanted to do one more so I did a Green 5.10a right next to the yellow. It was a good climb session!
45 min of stretching between 4-5:00 during a talk with Nicole, did 20 min each leg in front split then 5 min trying for pancake with Natalie on my back

Wednesday - Corey and I were going to do a ride this morning, but he didn't get up and I was waiting for him, wasn't sure what was going on but didn't want to go without him but also didn't want to wake him, so I just read. Ended up not going climbing or anything, but did do a 45 second tuck at park while P&K played, one pass on the monkey bars

Thursday - bike ride up LCC with Corey, made it all the way to the ruins! 11.36 miles, 1 hour 45 minutes. I made it up avalanche hill and even made it up the rocks before the second bridge! We did techy on the way down! yay. A few places where we had to walk, but the fallen trees have been removed. On techy, most features (log, two rock piles) were too slippery cause of snow, but it was good other than that! One hour of splits  and leg stretching)

Friday - top rope with Corey this morning after dropping of Churchill carpool - did 9: two attempts and 7 sends: warm up on Purple 5.9, took it easy again with Yellow 5.10a, then Red 5.10b, Black 5.10a, Hot pink 5.10d woo! cool down with a Purple 5.9, then tried a Black 5.10d, made it half way up, then I was dead in my arms to I switched to the Orange 5.9 on the wall right next to it for the rest of way to top. Then Corey tried one more, a Red 5.10c, he did great, then I wanted to try too - got up about half way there and then we were done. So 7 sends and Black 5.10d and Red 5.10c, were the two attempts.

Saturday - Went climbing tonight from 9-10 before they closed at the Sandy Momentum with Corey AND Mel after we picked up Mel from Frontrunner. Did some top rope: Orange 5.10b, then Yellow 5.10b and White 5.10b right after with no rest. I wrote things in my notes, but can't see how to see my notes, so next time I'll write things in my own phone notepad. I also did attempted a 5.11a - I literally could not hold on anymore at the top. I rested twice, but my arms were so spent, I was BARELY able to get to the top holding onto the Orange 5.10b that was right next to it. Also did a little bouldering in between the top rope climbs, where Corey would belay Mel and I'd come back to belay Corey. For bouldring I did 11:
  • 1 V4 attempt - a white that had holds that were basically upside down horns
  • 1 V3 attempt - hot pink
  • 3 V2 sends - Blue, orange, and yellow
  • 5 V1 sends
  • 1 V0 - purple
