Nov 17 - 22

Monday - Ride to Ruins, Abi dropped me off at the trailhead so that helped it not feel as long, but also makes it a little harder cause you're not warmed up by the road when you start the gravel trail. 53 degrees at home when I left there, 47 at mouth of canyon. 9.29 miles, 1 hour 15 min. Got two more local legends - 1) for the descent of "So LCC to Wasatch" - 16 efforts in the last 90 days and 2) Tour of Granite Sprint #3 (basically the same stretch of the road) and I've had 16 efforts there as well, obviously. Also got a "bronze"/3rd best time for Demo Climb (last stretch to the ruins). I got the Lisa Rocks today, which is prob why I got that time. It was fun, though, there’s two guys ahead of me (prob in their 30s), and they both almost got it, but then both got up and jogged their bikes the rest of the way up at the end. Then they both paused and at the top and we’re standing there watching me, pressure was on! I got the first part then shouted to them that I’m about 1 out of 10 for getting this, they cheered me on and said you got it and I did get it and they said “You crushed it!” and “Legendary!”  I kept going and we chatted for a little bit at the top, they said that they thought I was on an e bike at first when I was starting that hill then saw when I was closer that I wasn’t. Not too shabby for an old lady!

Fav song on todays ride was The Killers "Spirit" as I was seeing the mountains on the decent flash between the trees as I listened to the lyrics "Flash God's image 'cross the long night" the mountains are one of God's images. 

Tuesday - Jordan River temple initiatories at 5 am, done super quick today with just two patrons in our little room. Then 6:10 am went to Millcreek for bouldering, I like bouldering a little more there. Did 40:

3:10 pm, Ruins and techy from home. 11.26 miles, 1 hour 31 minutes. Temps: home 54 degrees, 47 at mouth of canyon, 50 when back home, toes ok. 1 more Local Legend: Wasatch to LC Mouth (descent) 13 efforts

Wednesday - Did an afternoon jog at 4:45pm - 2.68 miles, I didn't stop to walk, yay. 27 minutes, so abt a 10 minute mile, not great, but good that I didn't walk, though I did dance a few times. 

Then quick bouldering at 9pm at Ft Union (40 minutes) -

Thursday - I feel sore from my jog yesterday (I KNEW that biking didn't work my calves!) Tonight did an 8:30 pm Top rope with Corey at Millcreek -

Then 3 attempts on the purple V3 Boulder in the OG section, I got further! Hard, but maybe if I try it fresh next time? 

Friday - My calves feel more sore today than they did yesterday! Man! Bike ride at 3:20 to ruins - got the local legend for wasatch to LC mouth with 15 efforts in the last 90 days. 11.26 miles, 1 hour 37 min.

Saturday - 8am toprope with Corey at Ft Union. We did 9:
  • 1- North Purple 5.10a
  • 2- North Blue  5.10d 1 cheat 2 rests
  • 3- north pink 5.11a 1 rest No cheats!
  • 4- NW green 5.10c
  • 5- NW red 5.10d
  • 6- SW black 5.11ab boo
  • 7- SW purple 5.10a
  • 8- SW red 5.10a/11b 2 real tricky parts
  • 9- SW black 5.10d hard! a few rest but I didn’t cheat, both Corey and I nicked the top of our left hands on the same hold! Aww <3
5pm I tried to jog, but only got about .5 in then I was having cramps, so then I walked, and just recorded it as a walk. 3.45 miles, 55 minutes.
