Jul 21 - 26

Monday - Drove home from Bear Lake. Sunset walk, 3.04 miles, 53 minutes

Tuesday - Early ride (left home at 5:41 am) to ruins, 11.27 miles, 1 hour 35 minutes. I got the 2nd bridge rocks! First time this year, yay. I went to the left.

Started MovesMethod today (bought the program last week for $67 "for a limited time" with some $ I saved.) Today listened to a video of Day 1 of a 3 day challenge. Homework is to do 30 min of accumulated squat sitting, and 5 min total of hang time. I did that plus 30 min of splits stretching while I watched the video. My homework is to do that everyday for 30 days.

Wednesday - Climbing with Corey. 7 Top Rope, West wall the whole time:
  • Black 5.10a
  • Red 5.10a
  • Green 5.11a attempt, hate it, impossible
  • Pink 5.11a/black 5.12a combo
  • Orange 5.10b got it
  • Red 5.11b got it with 1 rest and 2 falls
  • Orange 5.10c
and 4 boulder attempts on the light wall: Lily’s blue V2 attempt then got it but might have touched another, Green V4 2 attempts. Plus Day 2 of Moves Method, did 30 min squats and 5 min hanging (hanging was almost impossible after climbing)

Thursday - Was going to go on a ride with Corey, but as we walked out of our room to go downstairs, Katharine walked out of Peter's room (she slept with her brothers last night), so I stayed with her. She had cereal after 50 min fell back asleep and then Owen and Hyrum were up, so I went to Corner Canyon. Did the Corner Canyon Loop, 14.40 miles, Time 1:55:37, I got 4th place on the leaderboard!
I was aiming to place, so yay. Also Moves Method stretching for over an hour. I like it, feels good, going to do it everyday.

Friday - Moves Method for over an hour - worked on squats, pancake, and backbend stretching against a door. Splits stretching too and a few handstands

Saturday - 8am ride from trailhead to Lisa parking lot then home. Hyrum and Corey planned for him to follow us with his drone to get some footage. I was a little bummed to not do techy. :( Next time I'll just go when I get up and not wait around, cause I could have gotten ruins and techy in and still met them at Lisa falls. Oh well. Plus an hour of stretching, squats, splits, pancake, etc while I worked at the computer (or watch youtube... this was awesome to watch - Magnus and Janja) I want to go climbing but Corey and Abi have the cars. :(

Jul 14 - 19

Monday - Morning ride at 5:45 to ruins, got all of Techy yay. Corey was on his way up when I was back on the road home. 11.51 miles, 1 hour 32 min. Then climbing at 10 with Corey, Lily, and my little brother Grant and his oldest kid Taden.

It was fun! I did three top rope - a new pink one that's still being graded, prob 5.11 something,

I couldn't get it all, then a blue 5.10c, and the red 5.11b with only one rest! woo! Then some bouldering - Got a Blue V3 on the light wall that I haven't gotten before, and a green V4 right next to it - both in this pic:

Grant and Corey both got that V4 and so did I! My 3rd V4 ever! Corey said "I need to train everyday so I can be as good as Grant is on the first try." I also got that stupid V2 that Lily could get but I couldn't. She coached me through it and I got it on my 2nd attempt today - it's behind her in this pic on the black wall behind her, it's just 5 holds.

I got this pink V3 today for the first time. And if you take it higher it's a V4. I didn't get past the V3 end, but Corey did! Grant tried but his hands were spent.

He texted me later "That was so fun Tiff. My hands hurt in places they've never hurt before like the fleshy outside edge of my thumb" haha!

Then soccer scrimmage for 90 minutes with Owen and Daniel's teams, it was really fun.

I was playing really good. I started in goalie cause I didn't bring shoes, and I did awesome. Then I ventured out a bit and still did really good, got some killer shots on goal, hard and fast and right in the low corners, really fun. I can hold my own against 4th and 5th graders!

Tuesday - Run and walk, 4.39 miles 59 minutes. Got my 2nd pasted 5K time at 36:31. I walked to the corner, then did the 2 mile loop without stopping, though I know I was not very fast. Then walked around the neighborhood, trying to loosen up my left hip, it really hurts, I think from soccer last night?

Wednesday - Ride to ruins, then went straight to bouldering for 57 minutes (leaving for a reunion later).

Jul 7 - 12

Monday - Park City to HAM, 11.22 miles, 1613 elevation, 1 hour 51 min, 6 achievements, splits stretching for 30 minutes.

Tuesday - Epic ride this morning with Corey and his friend Eric.
We left the Park City Summit Watch hotel and rode over the mountain to Corey's Dad's house, so Park City to Holladay via Armstrong, Midmountain, Pinecone, then Wasatch Crest and Pipeline. 32.65 miles, 4 hours 51 minutes moving time (6:04 elapsed time). My longest ride and most elevation packed ride ever. 44 achievements, Park City to Crest in 2 hours 51 min, previous time (8/29/24) was 2 hours 13 min to the top. We were glad to find some snow still on Pinecone and at the beginning of Crest.
We were able to refill our water bottles and had nice slushy cold water for the rest of the way down. Wildflowers were beautiful as well.
We left Park City at 6:44 am and arrived in Holladay at 12:45

Wednesday - 30 handstands against wall, some stretching, 5 jump pullups

Thursday - Exploring Bell Canyon with Mel. Mel's strava said it was 6.19 miles, 2 hours 15min. Mine said 1 hour 29 minutes and 3.46 miles. So I'm a bit confused... I did about the same hike on Tues March 25 except I walked from home (instead of driving to the trailhead) and that hike was 5.13, so I think her strava is off... Mine cut out for a little bit so I don't think mine is correct, but I didn't miss 2.5 miles of the hike... weird.

Bouldering with Lily in Millcreek at 3:45 (She was with her friend Ben the whole time), 1 hour 18 min, Total 42 - 28 sent and 14 attempts:
5 V4 attempts
5 V3 attempts
8 V2 sends
4 V2 attempts
16 V1 sent
4 V0 sent

Friday - Sunset walk, 3.24 miles plus 170 walking lunges, 1h 3m

Saturday - I woke up at 5 and laid there trying to decide what to do. I haven't done the ruins this week, but I didn't want to do an hour and a half ride. I also didn't want to worry about passing people. So after going back and forth in my head for an hour, I went to corner canyon. I did Clarks cause it's uphill only trail and then rush, downhill only. And rush exit stage left is open! And it was short. Distance - 4.40 mi, Elev Gain 812 ft, Time 38m 38s. And K is here using my phone to watch youtube as she sits on the potty, so I could n't see my stats, BUT then Just learned I can get my strava stats here at the computer and don't need my phone, yay.
