Aug 18 - 23

Monday - 4:30 PM ride to ruins, 11.33 miles, 1 hour 29 min, got to top in 1:04:03! Tried to cancel Momentum today. FHE at Waterford playing soccer. Ethan brought some friends to Waterford from the Dominican Republic who were interested in trying climbing, so then Corey figured out how to pay for it, Corey and I went and belayed their two boys (Corey's a sucker for serving others via anything they're interested in, so yay that got me another month to climb!), I did one Yellow 5.10c and one Orange V2 boulder


Tuesday - Morning jog of Mt Jordan loop via tree farm, didn't stop and walk, 2.36 in 21 min, I got my 2nd fastest time in the 2 mile. Plus 34 min stretching later, and 2 pull ups

Wednesday - Bouldering this morning, not quite feeling it, did kid area R>L got it
L>R didn’t get it, R>L didn’t get it. Just 11 boulders total: 
  • Orange V3 2x
  • 1 V3 attempt
  • 1 V2 send
  • 4 V1s
  • 3 V0s
Thursday - Morning hike from 1st bridge 3.82 miles, 1 hour 13 minutes. Evening ride to ruins during 24 hour fast, 11.30 miles, 1 hour 33 min. The Alta biking team was up there, lots of people, so had to pause a few times for them to pass or waiting for them, still good ride, I got the 2nd bridge rocks, 3rd time in a row! Weigh 139.8 after the ride, yay. I've been in the 140s like this whole year so glad to get it under even if just barely. Last Sunday night I was 150 (perimenopause?) 

Friday - I did the ride last night cause I was pretty sure I'd end up taking carpool this morning, which I did. Went climbing for date night: 
  • NE Pink 5.11a cheated with 5.9 purple for the last half
  • NE Red 5.10b
  • SE red 5.11b I GOT IT!!! No rests or cheats! Woo!!
  • SW pink 5.10d got it!
  • West Green 5.8
  • West red 5.10 b/c
  • NW pink 5.10c
  • NW Corner yellow 5.10c 2 rests
Saturday - evening walk/hike to my secret spot on the moraine. 4.25 miles, 1 hour 30 min

Aug 11 - 16

Monday - Morning ride with Corey to corner canyon, we did Clarks and Rush.

Wednesday - Early ride to ruins. 12.98 miles, 1 hour 56 min. I got the 2nd bridge rocks, yay, second time this year! Then did techy 2x, then met Corey coming down from the ruins, back to ruins together, then techy to home. 

Thursday - 8am - started a walk but then had to come back for the AC to get repaired, hooray for that though (It was 92 degrees in our upstairs bedroom yesterday!)

Friday - Dimple Dell Walk - 4.2 miles, 1 hour 26 min, plus 100 walking lunges and 4 passes on the monkey bars

Saturday - 7:30 pm ride in Corner Canyon: Clarks, Rush & Canyon Hollow. 4.40 miles, 37 minutes, 10 achievements. I had Avocado toast with an egg for breakfast. Tried to eat "macros" today. Watched video yesterday "Warrior Babe" - one thing I liked that she said was to look at yourself every morning and say "I can't believe I get to keep this!" referring to my body. That's a great way to look at ourselves, and we DO get to keep this forever thanks to Jesus' resurrection. He came and suffered and died for me to be able to have a body and keep it forever.

Aug 4 - 9

Monday - Climbing this morning with Corey and Lily. Lily bouldered. She wanted to be sure to go before she started FSY today at BYU, she'll be gone until Saturday. 

Corey and I did 8 top rope:

  • NORTH - Purple 5.10a
  • WEST Red 5.11a/green 5.10b combo
  • WEST Purple 5.10d one cheat
  • WEST Pink 5.10d I liked that one! I was able to to it, it helped that it was not impossible
  • WEST Red 5.10a
  • SE CORNER Red 5.11b (pic below) 1 rest & 1 cheat at the top, had to grab a yellow to survive
  • EAST Purple 5.10a one cheat
  • EAST Blue 5.10c got it

Tuesday - Morning walk, turned hike around Bell Reservoir, turned jog home. 5.31 miles, 1 hour 46 minutes. <-- (that was my 700th Strava activity!) 90+ min of splits stretching, squats, pancake stretch, etc.

Wednesday - Bouldering at Ft Union by myself,  
  • West wall - Purple V0
  • Kids area R>L I GOT IT! Woo
  • LIGHT WALL - Orange V2
  • Lily’s blue V2
  • Kids area L>R got to white/black
  • This HIIT 1x 
  • Kids area L>R  GOT IT
  • HIIT repeat

Thursday - Ride to ruins with Corey, 11.27, 1 hour 34 min

Friday - Morning walk - 4.36 miles, 1 hour 20 min. Toprope at 8:30pm at Ft Union for date night - did 8:
  • WEST WALL - Orange 5.10b
  • Green 5.10b new
  • Red 5.11b only one rest
  • SOUTH WALL - red 5.10b
  • Blue 5.11a one cheat
  • Purple 5.11a attempt, finished using black 5.10c
  • EAST WALL - pink 5.10d got it
  • WEST WALL - Blue 5.10c

Saturday - 1 hour stretching this am (v-wall and back bend w/pillow), Bouldering at Millcreek with Lily at 1:13 pm for 1 hour 11 min. Didn't keep track of everything on Kaya, but did atleast 21, 11+  attempts, 10 sent, plus two kid area races with Lily, I won both haha
