Jan 26 - 31

Monday - Morning bouldering at Ft Union

Tuesday - Morning bouldering at Millcreek, 30 min sauna. 1:45 ride to ruins, but strava didn't record it, boo.

Wednesday - stretching for 50 min. I took a nap and dreamt about doing the splits again. I remember having a dream like that in 7th grade. I'd really like to learn to do them and help my body get there. I think it would be so good for me. Will try to be more consistent.

Thursday - stretching. We were going to do toprope this evening, but ended up babysitting sweet Alvie instead. So we went to bed early so we could go in the morning

Friday - 6am toprope at Ft Union, done at 7:33 am, in time to get home to get the boys up and out the door:

  • 1- SE purple 5.10bcd got it!!
  • 2- SE Corner purple 5.10b 
  • 3- S middle black 5.10d 1 fall one rest
  • 4- South purple 5.10c got it phew
  • 5- South red 5.10c lots of cheats and 2 rests ugh
  • 6- South red 5.10d
  • 7- South red 5.10b
  • 8- NE green 5.10c 
Then a bike ride to the ruins at 2:42 (it recorded today, yay), 11.33 miles, 1 hour 33 min, got to ruins in 1:03:10! 45 degrees when I left, 44 when I got back home. 

Saturday - Ft Union toprope with Corey around 2pm

  • 1- NE new purple 5.10bc woo got it
  • 2- NE new black 5.10ab sent
  • 3- NE new pink 5.10abc sent
  • 4- S center black 5.10d only one rest!!! 
  • 5- S center purple 5.10b sent
  • 6- west black 5.10d stupid, impossible 
  • 7- west red 5.10da I got the middle part!!! Made it up until the second to last hold without stopping, 1 rest, then got the end
  • 8- south wall red 5.10a
  • 5 V2 boulders

Jan 19 - 24

Monday - Toprope with Corey in Millcreek at 4pm after dropping Lily off at a friend's house. First a few boulders on the North boulder, 013a12, then:

  • 1- West Green 5.10a
  • 2-,West orange 5.10d
  • 3- West red 5.10ab
  • 4- West lavender 5.10d 1 rest no cheats 
  • 5- North crack wall green 5.10b
  • 6- North crack wall orange 5.10a started with black 5.11a and almost got half way, Corey did ask the black
  • 7- yellow 5.10d Corey green 11c
  • 8- step roofs purple 5.10c

Tuesday - handstand for as long as I could hold it, then 30 push ups on knees, repeat

Wednesday - Morning walk, 1.73 miles, 30 minutes, 60 shoulder press and 60 triceps extensions.

Thursday - 6am bouldering at Millcreek, didn't keep track, just climbed until my palms were done, then 30 min sauna, home at 8

Friday - Ride at 1:45 to ruins and techy. Snow was packed down well, made it to the ruins in 1:07, not bad for snow! 11.24 miles in 1 hour 38 minutes. Local Legend on LCC Enduro Descent. 

Saturday - Hike with friends this morning at 8:30. Bell Canyon to "waters of Granite" and around. 2.88 miles, 1 hour 14 min. Then top rope at Ft Union with Corey at 2:15, did 10:

  • 1- New East Purple 5.10d hard, 5 cheats 2 rests
  • 2- New East black 5.10d 1 cheat
  • 3- New East pink 5.10bc
  • 4- NWest Blue 5.10d
  • 5- West red 5.10a
  • 6&7- purple 5.10c green 5.10a
  • 8- south blue 5.10c
  • 9&10NE red 5.10d, NE green 5.10c

Jan 12 - 17

Monday - bike ride to ruins. 1:25 to the ruins, it was not pretty but I did it. Lots of HAB on the climb, and slip n slide on the way down. 

Tuesday - bouldering at Ft Union at 2:45, did 18

Wednesday - 7:45 pm Ft Union top rope with Corey:

  • 1- East Pink 5.10a
  • 2- south blue 5.10cd
  • 3- south orange 5.10cd
  • 4- south black 5.10cd 11ab 1 rest
  • 5- south red 5.10ab
  • 6- south yellow 5.10d11a 3 rests 1cheat
  • 7- south orange 5.10d11a 3/4 then switched to purple
  • 8- center south black 5.10d dang it that was hard 4 rests

Thursday - 9:30 am walk to school for Owen's 5th grade science fair, pushing K in stroller, 1.52 miles

Friday - 5 min of handstands against the wall

Saturday - Ft Union Top rope with Corey at 10am:

  • 1- North green 5.10b
  • 2- North pink 5.10d woo I was getting tired there at the top but I got it, no rests
  • 3- NW red 5.10d 1 cheat at middle, 1 rest at top
  • 4- NW green 5.10c
  • 5- SE purple 5.10bcd 2 rests
  • 6- SE yellow 5.11a 4 cheats 2 rests
  • 7- SE orange 5.10d 3 rests
  • 8- SW red 5.10d 2 rests tricky parts with the big slab boulder holds on that one
  • 9- South red 5.10bc
  • 10- center south black 5.10d 2 rests but also didn't get the top before Corey started letting me down, ugh that last hold is a crimp, so mean


Monday, January 5, 2026

Jan 5 - 10

Monday - Still feel sick, but skiing we go - 11 am to 4pm, Skiing at Park City, 11 runs, 31.73 miles, spent most of the day with Mel and Christian

Tuesday - mostly better from my sickness. 10:15 am to 4pm, skiing at Park City, 14 runs, 32.95 miles. Spent morning with Katharine, afternoon with ODP

Wednesday - 10pm bouldering, then to the store (Winco is open 24 hours, yay!)

Thursday - Running wedding errands 8am to 8pm, I think we're almost ready

Friday - top rope for date night: 

  • 1- Green 5.10b
  • 2- Purple 5.10b
  • 3- Orange 5.10b
  • 4- Yellow 5.10c 2 res ts 1 cheat
  • 5- Pink 5.10d ya y got it
  • 6- NE blue 5.10d

Then a quick boulder at the cave - purple V2 2x

Saturday - Dancing at Melodie and Christian's wedding reception <3
